  1. I can't believe with a Low over Maryland, we have such an ugly synoptic setup.
  2. Unlimited. 1st 1st Call, 2nd 1st Call, 3rd 1st Call....
  3. @vortmax, via "gotsnowcam" cam, it looks like it's snowing nicely in your hood now.
  4. Good map. Goes well with my 4 to 8 inch call from earlier today. Can't believe how consistent the models have been and wish we could get that shift (we really don't need MUCH...gah) to the south and east.
  5. I question that snow shield being as expansive as the Euro is showing it. This look is what gives the nice widespread snow amounts for all of PA and NY. I would almost split that snow shield in half and the southern/eastern half would be sleet, mix, etc...
  6. The GEFS would be ideal at this point, as that would be Northeasterly winds as opposed to the Southeasterly ones that bring in the warmth. More 'Nor'Easter Like" But, I think the GEFS are almost always the furthest SE.
  7. I didn't say it would go further SE. I hoped it would. The only time it goes Southeast is when we need it to come Northwest.
  8. Well we did it. over the course of a few days, it was a storm over the fishies in the Atlantic to a storm dumping over Lake Ontario. Maybe it'll make it to Lake Huron.
  9. 12Z Euro on top compared to 18Z on bottom. Banding almost out of New York state now. lol
  10. Appreciate the encouraging tone. Doubtful here that this synoptic wasteland of Syracuse gets a good storm. The only thing ever guaranteed here is WARM. Just like what's going to mess it up here while it snows all around.
  11. Inches and inches of drysloping sunshine here. Just looking at radar...geesh, Niagara county has had a good winter compared to so many. Seems like the snowbelt this year (secondary to Virginia and Tennessee).
  12. Well, admittedly, and obviously, I get passionate about it. It really does frustrate me. But I am somebody who needs to vent, then laugh with everybody, hope for surprises, and cheer for others.
  13. I went there to check out some of the great models and insights that can be shared there. Instead it was individuals and some mets bickering with each other. Emotions have definitely been higher the past few days across the forum. This is one of the few places weather weenies can express their excitement,, frustration, etc. I am thankful for this subforum and the patience (once in a while I get told off...lol) we exhibit towards one another as we each have our own interests, passions, and disappointments as they pertain to the weather.
  14. It's absolutely ridiculous. The guys in the New England sub are definitely melting over it and the personal attacks and bickering have begun.
