  1. Hey, if the Icon and Ukie fail us, we can always go with the Rap!
  2. But that's what @tim123likes. A pile gets covered in a dusting of snow and he measures in at 7 inches.
  3. I'm even on the line of your circle. That doesn't help. Do I get snow or bullshit?
  4. Besides my curse, why are the models insisting on sleet specifically over this stupid city? The Southerly downsloping/warming having that much of a localized impact...again?
  5. It actually looked quite a bit better for the Cuse and Binghamton than the rgem did on the 12Z runs.
  6. The Canadian is running. We'll have a better idea of what it's showing for hour 60 by the time the Ukie has updated its entire run.
  7. Thanks for the input. It's so strange not knowing what precip. type it's going to be considering the location of the low. But have to think the taint is going to ruin the snow fun with those warm levels we've been discussing.
  8. As I said a couple days ago, sleetpacks are incredible in the durability...and the huge piles it makes when plowed. However, it takes forever for sleet to amount to anything. With the dryslot and precip. "minima" over CNY, not sure how much sleet we would be able to get. Plus, snow from a visual perspective, is so much more enjoyable to watch fall. Sleet is also much more difficult for winter recreation.
  9. Well, guess I should get ready to build me a sleetman. That sucker will be around until May. Or until I melt after the next synoptic fail.
  10. Well, there's a couple factors: 1) Pretty much, right on. The raging Southeasterly flow. This isn't a "Nor'easter" with cold air being pulled in for that dynamic cooling. 2) My presence.
  11. Based on the huge reduction in snow amounts on the Icon's snow map for Central NY, it's sleet here. This is toast for us here.
  12. If that huge area...like a 200 mile wide band from PA to Northern NY is Sleet...that would be unreal. Seems quite unrealistic, really.
  13. Rgem didn't budge. Still looks good for you WNY guys. Garbage for I 81 and east.
  14. You didn't miss much. It's mostly me moaning about how the NAM ruins my life....oh, and the Canadians waking up from hibernation.
  15. True. But then again, those tend to fall apart quickly. So unreliable. The only thing we have going for us, once again, is those lakes to help us out.
  16. Even though the Low didn't move anymore west. Why such a ridiculous dry slot in NY? Is there somebody behind the controls playing with the paintbrush and eraser tools?
  17. Surrendering to putting hope on a decaying defo. band? That puts the term "death band" in a whole different context...
  18. Well..looks like we might have to wait longer to get a synoptic snowfall of greater than 2 inches....especially if the rest of the models follow suit. But, turning ugly so quickly. Unreal.
