  1. From BGM's discussion.... Whoa, whoa, whoa...let's not go overboard with snowfall amounts... lol, this is what "enhancement" gets us these days... Some enhancement from lake effect off of Ontario is anticipated leading to some higher totals around an inch in the syracuse area.
  2. With this upcoming week looking WAY less exciting than it was just a few days ago, it's safe to say Syracuse will finish it's 3rd straight month with well below normal snowfall. It's also the 3rd consecutive crap January. Snowfall averages are going to take a hit if this continues for several more years.
  3. The models show barely anything south of Oswego to Parish, so I hope you are right on us getting even a few inches.
  4. Eh, I don't know. It tries hard to put me in that band of zero snowfall right off Lake Ontario.
  5. Other than disposing of the Ksyzzle thermometer, I don't think it can be helped that we seem to be under a death band of climate change that runs right across our area .....
  6. -8 degrees F here. You could always head to the tropical Sizzle where it's 0 degrees to warm up?
  7. We already know if it starts "the march" it will keep going and going until it's somewhere between Jamestown, Syracuse, and Toronto.
  8. Congrats on your southern snowfall, everyone! I enjoyed perusing your obs and checking out the pictures/videos. Enjoy your winter wonderland!
  9. Sigh... I see it's COMPLETELY LOST the WNW flow for the Syracuse area on Sunday. Gah, this winter blows to no end.
  10. My teammate/colleague has Neuroendocrine Cancer (Zebra cancer because it's so rare). She's been treated by an amazing group of doctors at Univ. of Rochester, as well as Roswell. Upstate NY definitely has some top-notch cancer specialists.
  11. Lol... I WARNED you.... Is somebody going to be eating a tomba melt for dinner soon?
  12. Perhaps we can get in on that band Sunday. 3 to 6 inches across the North burbs?
  13. No, thanks. I grew up in Lancaster, PA so I am already way too familiar with the awful rain/mix/snow line. It seems to have followed me hundreds of miles to the north.
  14. Thanks, but even during what used to be normal Winters, a Low that is being depicted there would give snow. It's like the area northwest of Lows is so much milder than it used to be and you have to be soooooo far Northwest to stay snow.
  15. When we can't get Lows that go over SE NY and the Hudson valley to produce SNOW here....we are SCREWED. Absolutely ridiculous... it's harder to get a legit snowstorm here than it is the South these days. Lol
  16. Hey, gotta make sure those living on their boats know how much they might have to shovel off their deck...
  17. At this rate, and the impending "doom and gloom" of a terrible February, I wonder if SYR will register the least snowy winter on record. BORING winter.
  18. Yes, it is a very wintry shot. I love that webcam. I've never been to that community, but the webcam definitely showcases what looks like a small town atmosphere. I've enjoyed checking it out and seeing the scene there when there are events going on.
