  1. Based on the radar this afternoon, Syracuse and just SOUTH of the Thruway has been doing better with snowfall than the North Syracuse zone.
  2. I am absolutely puzzled by the synoptic drought CNY has been in the past several years. Every system has a way of screwing us. Perhaps Albany can get several feet this weekend and then we'll be on the bottom of the 5 Upstate cities. lol
  3. Lol...really, it's time for Syracuse down to Binghamton and over to Albany down to NYC to get clobbered. It's been way too long. We will probably be sniffing flurries yet again up here. Odds of you getting effects are much higher, obviously.
  4. A few miles east of Bville, but shows what it's like here as well. Baldwinsville | WSYR (localsyr.com)
  5. Heaviest snow of the day here right now. The band looks like it might be starting to form a bit more. If so, we could be in business in the North Cuse burbs for a bit this afternoon.
  6. The Lake effect snow off Ontario is becoming more cellular with scattered squalls and sunshine (creating additional instability) in between. About to get a heavy burst here. We'll see if the band reforms.
  7. The weather the entire time I've lived in Syracuse has been wretched. Hottest summers/monthly records left and right...and the winters....ugh. lol
  8. The band is weakening and did the splits. However, it's snowing heavily here with huge flake size.
  9. The band arrived here about 5 minutes ago. Nothing heavy, but a light to moderate snowfall of pea-sized snowflakes.
  10. I live a mile or two NE of Bville...but currently in Bville itself. Starting to get some fluffers falling as I type.
  11. Most recent Rgem, at least trajectory-wise, looks better for those ESE of Lake Ontario.
  12. If it can shuffle the pattern so we can actually get some freakin synoptic snowstorms in Central and Eastern NY, I say, reluctantly, fine...whatever. Bring it.
  13. Eh, I don't know. It's supposed to move back north. I have a feeling it's going to halt pretty soon just to troll and then go north. Then I'll have to wait for it to hopefully move south this evening and not fall apart on its way down.
  14. From BGM for this upcoming weekend (continuation of too much cold and dry): Behind the departing upper low and on the back side another Arctic blast of air will be felt across most of the Northeast Saturday and Sunday. This incoming cold air will likely trigger another round of lake effect snow. It is still uncertain how much snow at this point given that the air mass may be too cold for significant accumulation, but will likely be a continuous light snow/flurry event into Monday morning. Temperatures this weekend will range from the teens and lower 20s during the day, to single digits overnight.
  15. Looks like a mesol-low hit Jefferson county. The rich keep getting richer.
  16. This is so unlike you, Tim. Positive Tim would predict Nantucket gets a 4 foot blizzard followed up with Ocean Effect Snow that piles on another 2 feet!
  17. I was pretty sure you were being facetious, but legit googled to see if such a place actually exists...because, it, well, sounds like a place you could run upon on a day trip around there.
