  1. Sure does! It would turn what looked like an ugly week to quite a snowy one for the Cuse. WNW lake effect snow off and on tonight and tomorrow...brief rain on Thursday changing to moderate to heavy snow...and then what looks like a clipper coming over the weekend. It would probably end up being one of the snowiest weeks of the winter here. If only it came to fruition... lol
  2. With the last big event, the GFS was quite a bit too far south and then adjusted north closer to the Canadian. Perhaps it adjusts to the south this time?
  3. Not calling you crazy...this time. Yeah, I am thinking what the Ukie, surprisingly, is showing might be closer to the final outcome.
  4. Can the Canadian please be right? When I look at the tracks on the Euro and Ukie... my gosh, what a painful winter in CNY.
  5. Seems like the 6Z and 18Z GFS runs cut it far NW and the 12Z and 0Z bring it further SE. GEFS are showing it on the cutter route.
  6. I hate Syracuse. Warmest of the Northeast...and probably Maryland and Delaware from looking at that map.
  7. The GFS has been the ugliest. That would be a cutter and then yet another clipper tracking too far north. Perhaps we get a similar setup to what we had last time, with a cutter and then a second wave (akin to what the Icon is showing).
  8. I would honestly rather have at least one model showing that at this point.
  9. There's going to be issues with that if the storm this week doesn't come substantially further south. I have a feeling they'll have to cancel.
  10. How's the snowpack down there in Broome county? I imagine the city itself is down to bare ground?
  11. Yup! December and January are best for not having the sun obliterate your snowfall. But with winters starting so late, January is like the only time to try and build a pack. Up here, it's been an issue since our winter-recreation industry relies on pack building....which really needs to start in December.
  12. The difference between you guys and CNY/ENY has been huge. That northern stream just does not want to include us.
  13. Ok, then warm ground it is. But also, the February sun burns right through the clouds and can easily melt snowfall that hasn't been established and frozen over. I know "sun angle" is taboo talk though. Lol
  14. It's probably more the result of a type of snowfall you guys are less familiar with in those parts. High-ratio Fluff gets obliterated, especially in February sunshine.
  15. Nice! Looks waaaaaaaaay more wintry in those parts than here. Several inches of crusty glacier with dirt all over it and a light dusting in Saharacuse.
  16. Oh, and checking 12Z runs, models have now taken away what was looking like some WNW flow snows for us and it turned it to NW and W. I am just done. We can't win. I have been challenged this week on not having any expectations from things because it will often lead to disappointment, so I need to start working on that...and be pleasantly surprised and/or thankful when something does happen.
  17. There's something about your posting style that makes it hard to root for you.
  18. Lol... Western NY has had snow falling like almost every day the past month and a half. Here? Maybe 5 or 6 days? It's just been BORING and now we enter a cutter pattern with rain. BORING. Lake Ontario has been dead on the eastern end, as it has been for several Winters. The Synoptic pattern has blown as well, and it stings when we're right on the edge. Something needs to change, and it's not happening this year. Bring on the warm seasons so we can try yet again next year.
