  1. That would be great for no cutters or suppression. Clippers or Gradient systems, perhaps? Hopefully enough cold, as averages are going up at that time.
  2. @Syrmax, you ready for some more pennies to add on to your totals? BGM's take on Thursday night/Friday: There will be a chance for a brief period of a wintry mix as the front moves through, especially if the cold air at the surface outruns the warmer air aloft. Snow is not expected to be heavy as the upper level trough is expected to kick the low out of the area quickly. Up to a half inch of snow in spots from the Southern Tier northward can be expected into Friday morning. Lake effect snow showers are expected across the northern Finger Lakes to Oneida county as the cold air moves into the area from the NW. Some isolated showers may reach down into the Southern Tier but the majority of the lake effect showers are expected across the northern counties. Accumulation will be low with under an inch expected before showers dissipate Friday evening.
  3. Looking that way...hahaha. Finally getting some nice fluffers for the past 5 minutes. Maybe I'll get a tenth of what Wolfie got?
  4. Still waiting for something under this band. Maybe I'll get something from the system that the GFS has missing us to the south at the end of next week.
  5. The band is doing everything it can to avoid Bville. Jumped over us, reformed a bit, and now the main band is splitting to the north. lol
  6. After this winter here and seeing so often, I shed absolutely no tears. Lol.
  7. I usually estimate whether a band is going to make it to me or not by looking upstream at the Wolcott/Red Creek area in Wayne County. If it makes it down there or past it, I will usually get in on lake effect snow. Often times they're about on the same trajectory as my locale.
  8. Nice. Overcast building and a slight breeze picking up here. I can barely contain myself.
  9. Enjoy your jackpot. As of now, the band is doing as I predicted and "wrapping" around where I work in the village of Bville.
  10. After an ugly Thursday, Friday could prove to be wintry with lake involvement and re-whiten everything for a couple more days. Then next week is pretty ugly. Perhaps we can get a few more weeks of winter in March, as there are some indications it could be colder and active.
  11. Not sure if that LO band will make it here. Looks like it might be falling apart and turning at an angle where it only hits Extreme NE Onondaga county.
  12. Good. If it's going to go NW and miss us, move it as far NW as possible to limit pounding rains and any other effects from it. If it's not going to snow in the winter, it doesn't need to rain either.
  13. Lake effect band starting to form. Don't think it will be anything too strong, but snowing nicely atm. Seems like americanwx has changed, where you can't post images like before? Options seem limited now?
  14. Speaking of cold and dry.... I was glad to finally see returns over us and pretty much VIRGA. We just can NOT win the past month and a half. Buffalo gets a cloud and they have a blizzard. We get actual returns over us and it's a flurry every 3 meters. Then, we'll be sure to get HEAVY rains on Thursday.
  15. Without looking at a map, I'll tell you what it translates to: Snow in Buffalo. Rain in Syracuse. The end.
  16. Hah... they're serious. Some people aren't as big of winter weenies as you and me. We want WINTER in winter.
  17. Oh, gag. Add another one to the hairy legs in the pool club. Have fun with Buffwx and Syrmax.
