  1. Pretty soon we are going to be the Mid-Atlantic Forum....with our winter discussions consisting of talk about frozen bird feeders last night and freezing fog causing water droplets to freeze to our windshields.
  2. We don't want any strengthening lows this winter. If we want to see snow, we need little junk waves to move through from West to East and deposit a coating to an inch or two. Any developing lows and it's game over. Simply extremely limited amount of cold to work with.
  3. Summary for this week: Slop...40s and sunshine...slop....40s and rain/slop.... Summary of Long Range: Cutter after cutter winter 19-20 carries on....
  4. Depends on which ones are higher quality...the models... or your nuts?
  5. Lol..Even the "system" for Sunday went from a couple inches on the NAM at 12Z to UMMMM, where did it go??? on the 18Z.
  6. Every single day after work I check this page and models hoping for some good news....and it is the SAME CRAP over and over again. My gosh, it's like Groundhog's Day this winter.
  7. For all "intensive purposes" I am truly seeing the intents and purposes for the models to troll us.
  8. Perhaps an inch of snow on Sunday night for Central NY that melts by noon on Monday.
  9. The NAO...what a joke it has been the past several years.
  10. Are you two joining the ranks of Dave and Freak in the Rochester/Syracuse Hate? The Buffalonians stay out of it. They're like France.
  11. Could you imagine if I had moved to the Tug this winter with the great expectations I had?!?!? Never mind...Don't...No need to fill your head with THM complaints...lol
  12. Can you believe this whole pattern really started with the Thanksgiving weekend system? That was the writing on the wall, right there. Winter came in November. Winter left in November.
  13. Many of those look good for us! CONGRATS, Thunder Bay, Ontario!
  14. If we stuck with Ensembles this winter, like the GEFS within a week, I would have 150 inches of snow on the season. The models have sucked, the pattern has sucked, the meteorologists have sucked, this winter has sucked. Everybody gets a suck suck from the Lollipop Garden!
  15. Bahaha....close, SBW...I prefer to get my highs and depression from Pivotal while moping in the Twizzler Garden.
  16. Gahhhh...I just want to puke every time I look at the Long Range! Everything wants to cut. Even the clipper the GFS is showing dives SE and then it hits the upper Midwest and cuts. It's unreal.
  17. You know it's been a craptastic winter when you come to the subforum and see a page of Willy Wonka quotes and memes... Golden Ticket to weenieville.
  18. Nws extended summarizes the winter: 40s, chance of rain/snow showers
  19. It's going to show "big changes" in 2 weeks, right?
  20. Been so busy today, just got the chance to check out the 12Z runs. Wow, do they look yawnilicious for the next two weeks. 2 more wasted weeks closer to Spring?
  21. If things don't change soon, the NWS is going to need to start issuing "Falling Weenie Advisories."
  22. Wow, you guys have lots more patience than I do. I prefer WINTER in winter. I grew up in Lancaster, PA...so am very familiar with the climate of the Piedmont/Coastal Plain. Vowed never to live in such a mild climate again! The wife has other plans....................
  23. I was in the Tug Hill last winter. The winters have sucked so bad, the economy is being greatly affected by it there. Partially lost my job as a result of it. Now I'm in the North Syracuse burbs where I average 130 to 140 inches a year. More than half of the 45 inches of snow I have received so far came in November. 20 some inches total over December and January, with many thaws has made it very ugly and frustrating for winter enthusiasts up here as well.
  24. How much snow have you guys had down there in your area? We're at least 2 feet below normal up here in the snow belt.
