  1. Well, I waited and waited to leave for PA...gave up and left at 10. Guess when the band finally started sinking south? No joke...lol I will return tomorrow afternoon. Bring on the snow... you're welcome, Syrmax.
  2. ...and now the models are starting to make it more of a NW flow oriented band than a WNW...grrr
  3. Looks like it's starting to widen as it moves south across the lake. So, probably weakening soon, but also sharing the wealth a bit more.
  4. LOL I might have to start watching my back to avoid the local weenies...ahem...from burning me at the stake.
  5. Watertown/Northern Tug seems to be the only area that can get a nice event off of Lake Ontario the past couple winters.
  6. Yep, I sure did. And...my wife was even ok with it. The job I took here was much more appealing though. We also like the realllllly easy access the Syracuse area has to many locales in the Northeast. In a normal winter, this area averages near 140 inches, so it's not like I was moving to Elmira. But...yes, you're welcome SW NYers. I saved you by moving here.
  7. Kills me....to think I had a job offer there...painful!!!!!!! I do love my job where I am at in Bville though.
  8. The models seem to be keying in on a WNW lake effect event Saturday into early Sunday. I sure hope they're right. The fact that the RGEM is showing it makes me more optimistic, as I feel it is one of the best with LES.
  9. Next time you come up, we should go on a snow-chase together. We will follow that sucker of a snow band as it weeble wobbles to avoid us...
  10. Oh, friend, you don't even know....I know you're from the New England board, so you aren't familiar with this... but what you say about a "Curse" is literally my life when it comes to winter weather.... I bring about the demise of winter wherever I go....really, I do. lol
  11. I have thought this exact thing MANY times this winter!
  12. lol...the NAMS barely have us getting any NW flow lake effect now. Winter of suck carries on....my call is looking spot on.
  13. The other day I said 1 inch of synoptic and 1 to 3 inches of lake effect. Not looking like a bad call. Then....rain all next week. What a crapper of a winter.
  14. Dunkirk just flipped over to snow...it's on the way, Buffalo friends! P.S. Niagara Falls too: https://buffalowebcam.com/live-webcams/niagara-on-the-lake-ontario-queen-street
  15. Freak: "What a crock! What a JOKE! I am DONE!" Max: "This is exactly why I said 'Cut the totals by 9/10ths. F#$!#% it..." CNY: "Relax. The event isn't over. We will get an inch." Matt: "If I moved to Pulaski, this rain band would be up there...……………."
  16. Wow, looks like some of the strongest winds will be coming down the Thruway corridor.
  17. I just know the flipping band is going to move through here JUST as I leave for about 18 hours to PA to pick up stuff for my new home. GRUMBLE, GRUMBLE...
  18. Ha! Very true. These amounts posted by BUF just seem a biiiiiit over-zealous. Many of us would love to get a nice snowfall like this...but way too many disappointments this winter...especially with lake effect.
  19. Several feet below normal for this time of year.
  20. Who is ready to go from damp and cloudy, to windy, bitter, and sunny?
  21. Another yawner for Syracuse. Enjoy, Western New Yorkers!
  22. Looks some areas of the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes are getting a nice little snowfall this evening. Even Dansville, Wellsville, and Ithaca appear to have flipped to snow.
  23. We had several snowfalls with some ice encased layers, so some snowpack is holding strong despite several days in the 40s/50s with full on sunshine. Some areas have about 8 inches still, while other areas that are exposed to full day sun and under heavy trees have some bare grass showing. I would say still about 90% snow coverage here.
  24. Hopefully it works out for you guys. Do you still have snowcover over there?
