  1. Dude, it's politics. Democrats are FAR from innocent. Get off your "Dems are amazing" kick and recognize most of them are just as crooked.
  2. Right now, China could just kill any random person they want...because they can...and then add it to the Covid death toll. But this sudden jump is obviously them "coming out" that this was a bigger deal than they lead on.
  3. Do you think we can take Rochester out of its spot by July?
  4. Oh my word, is that a long read! lol I just watched an interview with Melinda and Bill Gates and they are very eagerly supporting the WHO and encouraging others to do so. So it was interesting to read about the WHO in this light.
  5. Many of the 00Z runs are even showing this to be a 3 to 5 inch event across the Syracuse area.
  6. Nice. The Catskills are definitely looking really good. At that elevation, you may even hold on to some snow through the day on Saturday!
  7. This. China. can. not. be. trusted. And that's no xenophobic post...
  8. Are you somewhere else in New York state right now? Isn't Glendale in the New York City area?
  9. Whew, things are getting ugly in my old state of Michigan. As usual, both parties are acting obnoxiously. I personally find it just as immature all of the Nazi posts relating to Whitmer from Republicans as I do the democrats and Trump haters and all their names for him. I wish wish wish people could discuss their points without being childish with names, biting sarcasm, and patronizing tones. Checking out the signs people "made for Whitmer" all I could do was shake my head. They really think silly signs are going to change something? I think many of them have good points. Small businesses are really going through a rough time right now. Much of Michigan is similar to New York state in that most of the cases are in very specific areas of the state...not the whole state as a whole. So many towns are sitting there thinking....we could still be doing business right now. I have wondered how Upstate New Yorkers have seemed to come across as much more patient about reopening when compared to Michigan. From comments from friends there, it seems like New York state did a better job at making quick plans. Schools in Michigan are STILL not doing anything for their students. (P.S. same for my family in Tennessee. My nieces and nephew have been sitting there twiddling their thumbs.)
  10. It will be Spring soon enough. Seems like the law of averages. We were running ahead a bit in terms of flowers blooming, but that has really slowed down with the cold we have had. Pretty much the smaller shrubs and a few of the very early trees are showing much signs of Spring. I was a bit surprised when one of the Buffalo guys mentioned the trees leafing out there the other day. Maybe it's different in downtown 'Cuse, but I don't see much Spring other than daffodils, a couple magnolias and some forsythia starting to bloom. I mean, obviously we know I love winter....when, and that's a HOPE the garden centers open up, I will be excited for Spring...as I love working with plants and flowers.
  11. Yeah, I am bummed I missed it! I had already closed the blinds for the night. Went past the window and saw through a small crack through the blinds white on the ground. It dropped a fresh covering for the night...looking at radar, we may have more to add on too!
  12. You guys have had much more exciting action off Lake Erie this year compared to up here off Lake Ontario. An unfrozen Erie probably helped with that... Lake Ontario has been less than impressive. PA has had some really hefty snow showers off Lake Erie today as well. Family members posted whiteout shots in different parts of the state.
  13. I will say that one thing these cold blasts in Spring have going for them is the increased likelihood of some intense snow showers. Snows...sun comes out and destablizes the atmosphere...BOOM! heavy burst of snow...sun...repeat. It is fun to watch.
  14. Seems to be a nice WNW flow right now bringing occasional heavy bursts of snow that rewhiten things up. Still some snow on the ground from overnight in the shade.
  15. Glad you guys are getting some snow in snow-starved PA. Friend in DuBois shared a picture of a whiteout there. Never a good time driving on I 80 with whiteouts.
  16. I haven't even been paying attention to the weather too much with everything that's going on. Has southern New England even made it to the 5 inch mark yet? lol
  17. Truth. Here's to hoping next winter can break this string of mostly blah, mild winters we have had of late.
  18. Where was this pattern all winter? 3 consecutive days now with snow falling and covering the ground. Could make it 4 by tomorrow...it will be close for this area. Getting some decent lake effect snow showers right now.
  19. Their poop helps to create a natural fence in guarding too. Who wants to walk where they deposit crap literally EVERYWHERE! lol
  20. They can be mean buggers. I have many memories of geese chasing and snapping/hissing at me when I was a kid.
  21. Very steady snow here covering everything. I think I've seen more snow over the past month than during the month of January. 6 inches at the end of March, during the day time....a covering at beginning of April...a couple inches last week....coating last night...snow on the ground tonight...maybe more on Friday. I enjoyed walking in snow showers today. I will never get tired of snow!
  22. Here too. I just happened to check the radar and saw a band coming...and was like, "Is it snowing!?!" Sure enough... Went for a walk...looks like some more is about to move through.
