  1. Yes! It definitely feels like a fall weekend when a cold front hits and you have lake effect clouds and rain showers. It was really nice Saturday morning with sunshine and 60s through the day...then it got overcast with a rain shower in the afternoon that dropped the temp to the upper 50s/60 degree mark during the late afternoon.
  2. The next week is looking like my kind of summer weather! 60s to lower 70s. Perfect for what I enjoy doing during the summer. Hiking, working with my plants, lounging on the balcony. opening up the windows and sleeping GOOD! THAT is why I like this weather over 80s and 90s. If i had the luxury of a pool or a beach nearby, maaaaybe 80 for a week interspersed within cooler periods would suffice.
  3. The highest it got here today was 87, so you actually beat me out. Massena got up to 94-95 degrees! The 60s coming up look delightful.
  4. Congrats! How exciting! I would love if this was the only time we hit 90s for this summer. People can't understand why I like cold...I can't understand why anyone would like 90 degrees...so many people are like, "I LOOOOOVE this weather!" Really? I don't like weather that makes me sweat and want to pass out the second I go outside. Bleck.
  5. Beautiful shots! It was sunny here all day and then thick dark clouds took over just in time for sunset. No beautiful colors like you saw, but there were some fun looking cloud structures and types to look at.
  6. Hey, now! Not all of us "Cold weather" freaks are trolls. I'm almost normal when you exclude my obsession with the white powder........
  7. If it was 70, low humidity, gentle breeze, with showers during the nights to water everything June through August...I would be in summer paradise.
  8. 40s have literally been the theme since November. Going on 7 months now! haha
  9. 65 to 70 is PERFECT weather to me. It could be those temps all summer with an occasional day of 80s thrown in there for pool/beach weather.
  10. Snowing here too. Could this be the last snowfall of the year? lol
  11. The ROC permanent Radar Image during any snowfall...
  12. What a great wintry afternoon! About 1.5 inches here after two large squalls that came through. The first one brought an inch in 45 minutes. I wish I could post my video! What a STRANGE year this has been.
  13. ...and my location is smack dab in the middle between the band over western Onondaga county and that nice looking blob just to the northeast in Oswego. i'm in the few mile band of nothingness that refuses to fill in.
  14. Impressive! Enjoy. I know this winter freak would.
  15. I just can't believe that even in May this year the 'Cuse gets whiffed to the SE....NW allll winter, and now SE allll Spring. We did get one good surprise at the end of March. Even you Buffalo guys seem to be getting lots of surprise snow showers this year. Seems like every cold shot you guys are posting great shots of little snow events there. Here, it's just been meh. It's like everything has ridden on a line from Ithaca to Cortland to Cazenovia and South and East of there.
  16. It's been flurrying here this afternoon. Just starting to see some bigger flakes. I might just have to go out for a walk...
  17. Do it! They should pay me for social media promotion...
  18. It sure is! http://buffalowebcam.com/live-webcams/buffalo-ny-elmwood-ave-posterartusa-mr-pizza
  19. Getting thunderstorms here in the Syracuse region right now. Just had a very long, drawn-out rumble occur. And it wasn't coming from me...
  20. Interesting. Must be my perception from my two winters in this region. I know some of the local guys have said the Syracuse area is often in between events. Maybe it's the lack of lake enhancement the past couple winters (due to non-ideal storm tracks.)
  21. Boy, you Central New Yorkers weren't kidding when you said Central NY sucks for synoptic snow. They either follow along the lakes and we get warm winds and rain...or they ride along the coast and we get whiffed to the SE...even in MAY! It's lake effect or nothing.
  22. I know the odds of it actually hitting DC are extremely low...however, it would be hilariously ridiculous if they get more snow in May than they did over the past 6 months combined.
