  1. Everything is sooo close for us, so just a 25 to 50 mile difference in track can definitely lead to some surprises (good or bad).
  2. I figured the models might go back a bit since the 12Z runs...but not this much.
  3. HRRR definitely doesn't look as good for us. The secondary takes over faster. It just looks weaker in general. Meh.
  4. These two comments are about as contradictory as the models But so is everything in the year 2020...
  5. I noticed that. I wonder if this model thinks "Birmingham" is in New York state too.
  6. They must plan on measuring at Rochester airport.
  7. Lol....is the GFS going to score with its stubborness in not giving any snowfall to the Syracuse area? Still refusing to on 18Z runs...
  8. What the 12Z giveth, the 18Z taketh away... My 3 to 6 inch call for the Cuse "may" work out.
  9. Now the Euro and especially the GFS seem to be off on their own. Hmmmm
  10. I have NOT given up on this system this week. I was close to after last night's 00Z runs...am happier with 12Z runs. Still have our covering our graupel snow from last night here...so it looks like winter!
  11. Nice! I grew up in Lancaster. They moved to Danville when I was in college. You guys are definitely due for a good storm there!
  12. The OP GFS and Euro are being soooooo stubborn with this.
  13. Wish I could be at my parents' house in Danville for this storm!
  14. Yup. So maddening. Under nice banding all evening...and GRAUPEL.
  15. It's all going to come down to tilt. The tracks that go more NE provide much more snow to NY state compared to the ENE tracks.
  16. Can we have the 12Z run of the NAM back please? 00Z = meh.
  17. It's pounding under these bands...but it's a snow/graupel mix. It sounds like hail hitting the windows.
  18. I know! I have been thinking the same thing! We finally get some lake influence and it HANGS above freezing.
