  1. Ha! Yup! It's been painful for snow lovers...especially hardcore ones like myself. Not looking very promising either. I think we're going into a pattern now, of instead of a ridge pushing lows to our north and west, a trough is now going to make them miss us to the south and east. You can see how they'll be rotating around us in the long range. I know people say "don't trust the models that far out", but what we're going into is a common pattern for suppression. Perhaps we'll get some flukes in there that can somehow break through. I really wish we could have some adjustments into a clipper pattern.
  2. I don't know...Locally, in Syracuse, this year is BY FAR worse than last year. Horrible. Stink, stank. stunk.
  3. Hey, that's half of what we've seen here in two months coming in 15 days. I'd call that progress.
  4. Even worse, it's lake enhanced RAIN with wraparound on a NW flow. LOL
  5. We just continue to have horrible timing/luck. Tomorrow is looking more lame with each run. Now, it's light rain to a bit of snow and then back to light rain. At this rate, Syracuse could very well beat the record of least snowy winter (50.6 inches in 11-12). We are at 14 inches to date.
  6. Hard winter in Europe often doesn't bode well for us in the eastern US. Cold air headed there instead of here?
  7. I know you don't care...I do of course. Sorry, I forgot you had webcams I could check!
  8. @CNY_WX, yup, thought so. You are going to have white ground for some time. Even if it's not fresh, it's better than brown. Everything is still encased in ice here.
  9. Legit getting a thunderstorm (vivid lightning) with freezing rain right now and a temp of 31 degrees. Went outside to see a flash of lightning with plows/salt trucks going by...soooo odd.
  10. Just horrible. Looks like my call from the other day was correct. A half inch of "snow" today and maybe an inch on Sunday...and those might even be too high. Heh, look at that...I was TOO optimistic... "wink wink"
  11. Eh, I don't know. They all seem to be on the same track now of this next one just being too far east to affect much of NY west of 81. Canadian took a huge step away from giving us much snow.
  12. Seems impossible to get that these days. Perhaps it'll come more NW...skeptical here.
  13. Hm, I haven't noticed anything. But, I like to use the College of Dupage's radar. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?parms=TYX-N0Q-1-24-100-usa-rad
  14. Next...is us getting missed to the South and east on Sunday and Monday.
  15. Bahaha...Check out the 00Z NAM runs. This winter SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. How's it looking over there in the ROC? You guys getting freezing rain?
  17. About the same here...now some freezing rain starting to mix in as the heavier bands are departing.
  18. Canadian's been showing that too. The models from across the big pond to the east don't agree.
