  1. It's funny...last winter we got 80 inches but it did not "feel" like we got "that much" snow. That's where winters with snowpack do it for me. If you get 80 inches total but each snow melts the next day...for me that's not winter. Might have to adjust though...
  2. I think maybe at 17 inches for the winter here. Who knows how it will finish. Besides, I was joking. My beef with the Mid-Atlantic posters is they are such snobs about others posting in their subforum. So unwelcoming...so I chuckle at their demise. Totally in jest though. I truly would be excited for them if they got a storm as it's been rough there. Sorry if I offended you.
  3. I think it might be drizzling too? Hopefully this next week the big lake can supply us what the Synoptic can't. Get that band to settle down over us for awhile please!
  4. The best part? The Mid-Atlantic still gets screwed...
  5. Um, I JUST SAID I complain on here and explained my reason. How about before throwing stones you check yourself because most of your comments are either complaints as well....OR they consist of putting another poster down. For example, the one you just typed. I am aware of my habit on here, which is why I have made a choice to post much less this week. Putting other posters down, such as you and whoever this "anonymous poster" did, adds NOTHING positive either.
  6. The windows were open in all the rooms at work today. Temp of 40, remaining snow piles, birds chirping galore, and hazy sunshine made me think it was an Early spring-like day in March. Came out of the building at 7 and it has "that snowy feel" like some winter is on the way. Temp is currently 36, so hopefully once we get some precip to fall it cools down a few degrees and we snow.
  7. Boom! Drop the mic. It's feisty wolfie out to growl at the moon. Yes! Thank you! I KNOW I complain...so sorry guys...I just feel that people on here are my only outlet to share the frustration with, as most of the rest of society doesn't relate. Me too.
  8. Lol...from every post I've seen on here, each run looks worse and worse for here.
  9. I guess we'll see what happens. No more model checking for me. Hopefully we all have some white ground by Sunday evening. Have a great day, all!
  10. Oh, yay. Another event where I watch the snow pound a county away..... This winter can suck it.
  11. Canadian definitely backed off of Saturday. Yep...maaaybe 2 inches in the lower elevations.
  12. That settles it...Hinmansville/Fulton/Volney area is my next move. Enjoy your snow while you have it.
  13. They did the normal "3 days out look pretty good" and now 1 to 2 days away, they take it away. I think we stand a better chance over here than you guys do in the ROC area....but I hope we all can get in on it. It definitely seems like a situation that "wherever" the banding sets up Saturday morning is where the 3 to 6 inches will fall, while the area around it get an inch or two.
  14. How long have you been around here? Have you seen good Lake effect events here in extreme NW Onondaga?
  15. For real. The Rgem (I wasn't going to talk about it) has that lake effect band sitting JUST to our north for hours and hours....then it comes south, weakens, and sweeps right through. hahaha
  16. Hey, wolfie. Your Lake effect model is giving you the goods Sunday and Monday!
  17. No matter where things end up, there's a common theme around Syracuse... lol (The HRWs show a similar theme. )
  18. Hey, maybe we can get an inch or two before it melts later in the day Saturday and we get some scattered snow showers on Sunday?
  19. I would love an event where we didn't have to worry about being right on the edge of warm air, dry slot, rain line. elevation line, convergence zone, outside of snow band, etc....
  20. Whew...if warm air holds in for synoptic part and winds stay westerly behind it...it's gonna be a tough pill to swallow.
  21. So, now that we get closer, the NAM, and especially the Rgem, bail on Central New York. Just running with the theme of this awful winter? Oh, how I wish the Para GFS could be right.
  22. Can't believe we're STILL talking about "elevation events' in mid-January.
  23. Unfortunately, the GFS and Ukmet look almost identical for Saturday up through afternoon.
