  1. Geesh. I do think it'll start soon there. It's coming down pretty good in the city. http://rochesterwebcam.com/live-webcams/rochester-new-york-jines-restaurant-cam
  2. Seems like things are really moistening up across Western NY and now into the Finger Lakes. Hopefully this is one of those time where the models are underdoing amounts. They really don't look impressive at all.
  3. It looks like you guys in Rochester are about to get a nice hit of snow...at least on radar! Looks like some nice enhancement.
  4. I think many of us are accepting the fact that this winter is just ridiculous.
  5. Looks like some convective snow showers over the Finger Lakes region. Could be some brief squalls this afternoon...especially with a few peeks of sun we're seeing here right now.
  6. Ha! I have been keeping quiet about that....don't rub salt in the wound!
  7. I wonder if we'll be able to actually get a somewhat northerly component to the flow tomorrow. Seems very rare lately. There were several chances for this week, but they seem to disappearing opportunities. Perhaps that little disturbance off of New England can help turn the winds.
  8. Grass is allllllllmost completely covered here. The coatings the past three days have been adding up. Big number, big numbers.
  9. It looks like the snow bubble is trying to put up a fight against that snow band. I'm rooting for you, Rochester friends!
  10. Please, oh please let that blob of snow continue moving along the Thruway corridor WITHOUT falling apart so Rochester and Syracuse can join in.
  11. Yep! I think Siberia will be able to handle my hotness and still be cold enough to snow. I think?
  12. ONE WAY road trip for me? Maybe that'll fix the winters here.
  13. So, next week the GFS is back to a whiff for us. It's either a cutter or it's south. This pattern just doesn't work for us. We need a solid noreaster that digs and works it's way north along the coast. These lows cutting up through the Midwest hit this triangle that either shoots them far left or far right.
  14. I look at that map and think, "Aww, pretty colors...so when does my next dusting fall?"
  15. Now that the winds have shifted a bit, it's a steady light now...but the snowflakes are TINY, which is why radar isn't even showing it. Thus, THM forecaster has issued a "Head and Shoulders Warning." Warning in effect until whenever it stops. Please be careful as conditions on your your body, especially shoulders, could change very slowly. Steady snowfall could lead to a dusting. In areas that get under heavier bands, they could get a dusting plus another dusting or two. Please use appropriately certified finger tips to take measurements. Don't even bother sending in measurements.
  16. Tug Hill and Chat. Ridge to the rest of Upstate: "You get a dusting and you get a dusting!"
  17. Rochester to Syracuse... Snow to the north for the past 48 hours...now to the south. LOL
  18. Looking at latest model runs, radar, and current conditions (rain/graupel/snow mix) lol... and weak intensity, I am wondering if we're even going to get an inch of snow in the Rochester to Syracuse zone this week. (At least tonight into Tuesday.) Never ending crap fest.
  19. Gee, I sure would love to get some northerly component to these winds/lake effect at some point this winter.
  20. That doesn't sound like much better of a pattern.
  21. Thanks. I wasn't taking it literally. So much can change in a week...hoping this is a positive change to a better few weeks!
  22. I will say this to credit this area in extreme NW Onondaga county...we seem to do much better at retaining a snow cover than the interior Syracuse suburbs and the city itself. When I check out webcams, we will often have snow remaining during mildish days like this, while there they don't. Today is a good example.
  23. I just went and looked and it gifts us with..not one...but TWO cutters next week! lol
