  1. My interest peaks when I read mention of a Georgian Bay connection.
  2. Thanks for sharing...and speaking up for the "forgotten ones." We'll have to keep these guys on their feet.
  3. Seems sort of stupid for BGM to include so many counties in the same advisory. Onondaga and Madison are not looking at ice, so why make it confusing and include us in an advisory discussing ice in southern counties? Most models are showing us in the 5 inch range at a minimum. I actually find it humorous how often they overlook Syracuse, as it has a fairly large population. They rarely discuss weather for here and breeze right by it.
  4. Des Moines is the "Binghamton" of the Midwest/Plains this season. I hope the rest of you may get some nice snows over the next week!
  5. 00Z NAM is looking better and farther south...but also looks a bit goofy.
  6. I get nervous seeing the dry slot so close....they ALWAYS come north more than forecasted...such a pain. Checking obs out in the midwest, Iowa to Illinois are having issues with dry slotting.
  7. Found this on NYC forum: Would be around 4 inches for Rochester and 5 or 6 for Syracuse.
  8. You know the NWS offices will go with the Euro...
  9. Did you just pull the "My map is better than yours." card??
  10. Sure...I just put whatever looked good...didn't know you were looking for specifics. lol
  11. GFSs seemed to have halted their northward movement with the 12Z runs. Hopefully that is the farthest north possibility that we see them and the NAMs go.
  12. Interesting that some of the models have the heavier snow axis going from SW to NE,, while others have it going NW to SE.
  13. That's what I was thinking...along with the cold air to the north...but it keeps going north and north and north.
  14. 12Z NAM trending north too. Still 24 hours for it to go even farther north....best is north of Syracuse....
  15. Yikes. Any farther north than this and we're toast.
  16. Ukie looks good with a 4 to 8 inch snowfall (10:1 ratio) for most of us. Just went for a walk...with a solid snowpack and the crisp air, it IS WINTER!!!
  17. If Kuchera happened to work out, this would be warning level snows for the whole Thruway corridor.
  18. The HRWs would be a nice 6 inch hit for the south shore from Rochester to North Syracuse burbs to Rome/Utica area.
  19. 00Z NAM looking very similar to 18Z GFS...if we can keep warm air and dry slot out, the Rochester to Syracuse corridor could be in the "jackpot" for NY west of I 81. As has been mentioned, the concern is these almost always end up farther north. Hopefully the weakening helps out.
