    I had a cruise around Alaska planned and purchased with the family this past June....and then Covid... We were going to fly to Seattle, go to Alaska on the cruise then come back and drive around the Northwest and go to Yellowstone.

    I don't understand something. Why don't NW winds produce for the Syracuse area?? Or do they...and the NW events since I moved here have by chance been over he Finger Lakes every time? When looking at the lake, one would think bands would form here just as much as they do to the west. But, they haven't. So much waiting for lake effect snow to not be too W or too NW or whatever here. Think I'm moving to the Volney/Mexico area in a year or two...hopefully.

    Same here...Northwestern Onondaga county is at this meeting point where all the radars are too far away to pick up on much here. Congrats on the snow. It's been boring here.

    We had a little over a half inch here last night. It was sort of the consistency of sugar. Thanks so much for the comment. Congrats on the LES! Feel free to stop in and share your reports more often. The past couple winters have been a challenge, haven't they? Kudos to you. I would love to be pleasantly surprised!

    As you guys know, I haven't been big on this winter at all. My calls for the events have been pretty spot-on. I was "committing weenie suicide" by mentioning this will be suppressed well south, and then a cutter will hit. It's in the cards. It's been the pattern. We can be optimistic...or be realistic, which unfortunately, involves pessimism towards this winter season.

    Yes, really close. Wouldn't take too much. I see the snow bands are starting to form in Oswego county. Hoping many of us on the S/SE shores of L.O. might wake up to some new snow in the morning. Sleep well!

    One of my buddies is from London, Ontario. They can get some pretty amazing lake effect snow bands there! Looks like they're getting hit nicely right now.

    Not throwing in the towel. Just skeptical. As Delta mentioned earlier, these transfers have so many issues with them. I would love to see a good snowstorm...just there is a lot that has to go right...and looking at success rates this season, just extremely cautious about it.

    I'm about ready to wave the flag and jump on that board. My passion for winter is fading with these crap-fests we've had of recent. At least I finally made it over a 6 inch snow depth for the winter (unless you believe the Bville spotter...lol) Bring back the winter of 13-14!!!! Now THAT was a winter!!!

    Lol...I can't believe they create these maps based off of one report....whoever it is in Bville....LOL...we had 2 new inches this morning!

    It's probably better I don't have an amazing radar on my phone for that reason. I would "obsess" and check my phone at work and probably get myself in trouble.

    Moisture looks to be increasing in the Eastern Lake Ontario region. Oswego county's about to light up.

    Some of the 00z mesos are bringing that Mexico Bay band due south into N. Onondaga county. We shall see..

    I am hoping we can get more of a spray like we did last night than the narrow bands. Looks like it miiiiight be starting to do that?
