  1. Solid band can't make it past the Madison/Onondaga border. It just keeps getting eaten up.
  2. What the frick is wrong with this place?!? I didn't think it would be like grasping at straws to get snowfall in one of "the snowiest big cities" in America. Warm air from the Finger Lakes, downsloping southerly winds, dry air, low elevation...it's always something.
  3. Oh, would you look at that. The solid band makes it to Syracuse and starts shredding apart...lol
  4. I'll keep you updated. My first guess for here is 8 inches.
  5. Wow, I thought they had more of a snowpack. Sure has. Knocking on my doorstep.
  6. Wow, I would gladly take that. Puts me in the excellent goods.
  7. Ha! Yep. This is a perfect setup for them. My parents in Danville (Upper Susquehanna Valley) are approaching a foot and a half, while my cousins in Hazleton are approaching 2 feet.
  8. Looks like it's coming down decent in Hamilton. The webcam quality is poor though. They used to have great webcams there. 149.43.156.105/mjpg/video.mjpg
  9. South of you in the Poconos they have been getting clobbered.
  10. I'm waiting to see how far west it gets....veeeery cautiously optimistic.
  11. Precip shield is solidifying over the Catskills as it moves towards Syracuse. Hoping it makes it here and doesn't stall out and tease us all night.
  12. That's because we're all tired of waiting.....and....waiting....and waiting.... Definitely NOT one of those winters where it likes to snow from any cloud that moves overhead.
  13. He posted on NYC forum. Up to 18 inches. Who is it that lives in Delaware county? (Or has a house there?) It's pounding there.
  14. Rgem looks like junk compared to what it did for the last many runs. Who knows...one model steps forward and another takes a step back. Time for radar and window watching...
  15. I want some of that dea.. "looks over at Syrmax" ... uh, Darth Vader band.
  16. Yeah, I have similar thoughts as yours. I have mentioned I really think this is going to be a situation where you could do awesome if you're under one of the bands for a while...but if you're outside of it, it's going to be a tough pill to swallow. I think it's going to provide bigger pleasant surprises for some, and bitter disappointment for others. Just hopeful it's more surprise for as many of us as possible.
  17. That's definitely better than I was expecting. This thing is moving soooo slowly, that if the bands sit over our area for some time, we could certainly get nice amounts.
  18. Looks like some of the banding is finally starting to progress a bit to the northwest. It could be several more hours until CNY gets in on some.
  19. Just not seeing it for much of upstate. I think it's going to be a few hours of snow then some light snow. We'll be waiting a lot longer to get meaningful snow than for how long it will actually be snowing....unless we get enhancement involved, which many of the models are not showing.
  20. I'll have to give the parents in Danville a call. Wow, that makes two storms of 1 foot plus for you guys this season. I am STILL waiting to get a synoptic storm that drops more than 5 inches up here this season. Calling for 6 to 12 for tomorrow, so we shall see...
  21. Grew up in Lancaster County, PA...that was pretty torturous for a winter lover.
