  1. Bite your tongue! Time to send you to a tropical island with Buffalowx and the rest of his crew. Enjoy your sun burns and fly bites.
  2. The Hrrr and Nam seem to bring it down here for a few hours and perhaps a couple inches...but who knows. We shall see. Looking good for you Oswego county friends.
  3. I'm assuming that means No. Onondaga is out of the game.
  4. Getting a nice burst of big beautiful fluffers, but it's having trouble surviving because it's legit sunny at the same time.
  5. Not sure if it was mentioned, but Lake Effect Snow Warning for N. Cayuga and Oswego for 7 to 10 inches. Looks like the band will flirt with this area.
  6. Not much more than you, Dave....10 inches? It's hard to give an average because the snow drifted, so it's actually pretty thin in some areas. Just because we have a "decent" snowpack now doesn't reflect the winter as a whole. It's pretty clear that we here in CNY have had a disappointing winter...and it's not just me bumming about it. Up until a week and a half ago, we had yet to get over a 6 inch snow depth. This winter, for here, has consisted of very little snow falling. What we have gotten has been several hour bursts of snow that drops a couple inches and then days and days....sometimes weeks...of nothing. Plus, it starts melting the next day after it snows. We probably lost half of what we had over the past 3 days because it got much warmer than it was supposed to. That's just a "meh" winter. I am still enjoying what we get...it's just been very lackluster.
  7. It's definitely smart to go conservative with whatever is being shown this season.
  8. I am thinking Tuesday's system misses us to the south. This is based on my observation of model trends and the location of the stream. Maaaybe an inch.
  9. I know our western NY friends remind me often how "Syracuse is the snowiest city of its size" in the U.S., but I'm not sure they are aware of how horrible it has been. When CNY, a positive poster, starts posting cynical posts about our ability to get snow in a winter season, you know it's been bad. Our friends to the west have been getting snow the past couple days while we've looked at sunshine and a melting snowpack. We had hopes to freshen it up today...but that's looking questionable at this point.
  10. Looks like I'm about to enter a break from our heavy flurries. Looking west over Lake Ontario, it looks like the bands are starting to set up on a WSW flow. Not looking good for the Cuse weenie zone today.
  11. Yep. It literally jumped over us...you can see it on radar. That's why I said perhaps the moisture "transferred" to the coastal system. lol
  12. Per webcams, it appears to be snowing out in Weedsport, Waterloo, and Geneva...so maybe a dusting. Very light snow shower here currently.
  13. It surely hasn't impressed me in my time here. Perhaps Baldwinsville is that much worse than Syracuse. I wouldn't think so. Perhaps the records consist of 50 inch NW flow storms and that offsets it with a bunch of dustings and 1 inchers the rest of the winter.
  14. Yep. Another bloody virga storm where we wait for nothing. I'm almost ready for Spring...and a move to a mountain top for better hopes for next winter!
  15. Perhaps the coastal stole our moisture instead? Or my forcefield just $##R$%$#!# sucks.
  16. I wish somebody did some research of the Northern Onondaga county area on dry air pockets because the amount of virga this area receives is uncanny. I love the reassurance from fellow posters that "this isn't normal" but for the past two winters, it's happened time and time again. I just don't get it.
  17. Hmmm, doing what we do best here - Virga with sun shining through a thin overcast. lol It'll snow at some point.
