  1. Syracuse is the warmest above normal and Rochester is the only one below normal? Why does none of this shock me? lol
  2. Almost every day waking up in the morning this winter hoping for a snowy surprise. Looking out the blinds, at radar, or at a model run:...
  3. I give this winter a big fat D-. The only reason it didn't get an F was for the pretty consistent snowpack for January and February (even though much of that survived only because of the layers of sleet/ice mixed in).
  4. LOL.... I see how the hairy legs were left out of the picture. Keeping us in waiting?
  5. What happened to our good start to March? All of that snow was projected for us as of last week. SE Ridge?
  6. We need police up here too. Based on your political positions that you've shared a bit on OT, I think you would like this area better as well...especially Oswego and Lewis counties.
  7. Haha! You might be waiting awhile, as the lake effect seasons have been lame here the past few years!
  8. I don't live in the Tug Hill. I did for a year, but the economy there is very difficult. Since we're totally free to post on any forum on here, I enjoy the NYC forum, as you have some really knowledgeable weather folks on here who don't just discuss storms for only your area. Why do you have "snowman" in your name when you very clearly like to "down" any winter weather possibilities? I agree in that winter in general seems to be lacking lately...but you seem to intentionally try to find any reason possible to advertise warmth and no winter.
  9. It's been snowing big white fluffers here for the past hour. New inch to inch and a half. Looks like a bit of WNW flow setting up behind, so perhaps a bit more bonus snow.
  10. You don't buy a wintry look? Shocking.
  11. Another clipper that goes through Ontario and brings us 40s and showers? Haven't seen that this winter...lol. It's been the same two types of systems since November.
  12. Another NW flow "event" tomorrow? Vort and Blizz in Skan are having a good winter with all the NW flow. Geesh. I often get in on the edges of NW flow bands but the best snows are definitely over Cayuga, S. Onondaga, and Cortland counties. Anyways, getting a nice snow shower, I think off Lake Erie, for the past 10 minutes.
  13. How's your mulch doing? Does it need a Winter Weather Advisory?
  14. Every time we start making headway toward Buffalo in even the littlest bit here in CNY, you Buffalo guys are like, "Oh, look! We got 5 inches in an hour!"
  15. I'd say my totals here were almost exactly the same as yours. Looks like it's compacted down to 5 or 6 inches already though. That late February sun is doing its job with dripping outside despite temps in the low to mid 20s. I'm now at 72 inches on the season. So, better than Syracuse...not horrible, but still well below normal.
  16. Nice! You have had a fantastic run the past two months. Fluff continues to fall here as well. Beautiful.
  17. Same here, with big fluffers coming down. Looks like some nice action forming over the '22 Niagara snow belt and moving east.
  18. Congrats, Rochester guys. My guess is you did slightly better than the Syracuse area. Probably 5 to 7 inches across Onondaga County. Local Mets did well with being cautious. I doubt anyone got near the top of the forecast range, as the system was moving extremely fast...and there was the dry slot and/or mixing for some. Perhaps in March we can get a powerful coastal storm if the pattern allows. I think we have a better chance this year than some recent past seasons.
  19. Thanks. It seems like you guys alternated back and forth between sleet and snow the entire event, with that FR mixed in this morning. It would be interesting research to break down our snow totals in Upstate NY this winter into how much was sleet vs. snow. I should have kept track for here.
  20. Did anybody see any reports for freezing rain in the Southern Tier? I checked but couldn't find any. It seems like this was more of a thump of sleet for many and then it either transitioned to rain (in PA) or snow (in NY).
  21. Exactly. And, Yes, I was indeed joking. Sorry, I know that can be hard to determine with me..especially via text.
