  1. Amazing with all the cold days we have had, that the February sun is making it difficult for the snow to lay on anything that didn't already have snow.
  2. The map he posted is for the Friday event. Unless you were just making a side note about today?
  3. Just watched local mets on Noon News...going with 6 to 9/10 inches for Onondaga county, but had that questionable tone about it. They're so unsure with all the different model runs! haha
  4. Hmm...this really surprises me...especially with Madison and Cortland county included. They must not be buying the GFS. National Weather Service Binghamton NY 1121 AM EST Mon Feb 15 2021 NYZ009-015>018-022-023-025-036-037-044-161630- /O.CON.KBGM.WS.W.0005.000000T0000Z-210216T2100Z/ Northern Oneida-Yates-Seneca-Southern Cayuga-Onondaga-Steuben- Schuyler-Tompkins-Madison-Southern Oneida-Cortland- Including the cities of Boonville, Penn Yan, Seneca Falls, Auburn, Syracuse, Corning, Hornell, Watkins Glen, Ithaca, Hamilton, Oneida, Rome, Utica, and Cortland 1121 AM EST Mon Feb 15 2021 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow. 5. I was just going to say. I HOPE the Canadians win this battle.
  6. Actually have moderate snowfall right now. As soon as it started to snowi, the filtered sun came with it. Lol
  7. You guys have to remember that Syracuse is almost ALWAYS warmer than models show for it. The Hellmouth moved from Sunnydale, CA to Syracuse when Buffy left.
  8. I AM Irish...from both parents... I am also the epitome of an Irish lad: stubborn, bad-tempered...but also extremely friendly, love to laugh, and keen on humbling myself.
  9. Just started here. Looks like the fine grainy snow that lowers visibility but doesn't amount to much.
  10. How low will she go... Until she turns back around to Ontario...
  11. I would much rather see this storm 1 flatter as it comes north. Looks like Para tries to do that. These SW to NE tracks never seem to bode well for us.
  12. Thanks for the acknowledgement. I am not completely innocent, as I can be stubborn and rub people the wrong way with my cynicism. You're not the first to get sniippy with me. I am a reflective guy though and am always seeking to be better. Plus, grace plays a big role for me...and it's definitely easier to extend it when you know somebody is going through a hard time...all though I stubbornly work on trying to all the time. The forum is full of great people. I am fairly new to this area as well...and if you're ever up for a snow hike or any hike and would like a buddy to join, hit me up.
  13. Ha! Speaking of those...had number 12716 yesterday. Working towards average.
  14. That's been another thing. The forever long and late transfers Those have really been hurting us. My call for Syracuse: 6 inches of snow and then a layer of sleet and another layer snizzle/freezing drizzle. Wish I was in Little Rock or Memphis where they don't have to worry about mixing.
  15. Obviously, I have been so frustrated with Syracuse's location in so many events lately. This one is no different. It is so, so tight. This could end being an event where we in the north Burbs get double what they get down along the rte. 20 corridor from 96blizz to King.
  16. Hopefully that will produce for us before the stupid dry slot and/or mix comes in.
  17. Yeah, I think this one is different in that there is some deep cold present. This could help to prevent that warn air from just flooding in to the west of the Apps and up the lake plains. The normal source for that warmth is pretty cold right now.
  18. This matches very well with my call this weekend that the mix line will reach those higher elevations from Ithaca to Morrisville, while we stay cold enough for mostly snow.
  19. It certainly is. Lifting you, your mom, and family up. It's a good reminder that there are certainly more valuable things in our lives than a few inches of snow.
