  1. Oh, I was only partially joking. It's really been the trend...and like the only two options.
  2. There ya go.....welcome to what the ENTIRE winter has been like here in these parts. Welcome aboard.
  3. Getting some nice fluffers right now and whitening up everything that was cleared off.
  4. Hovering around freezing here. As I had thought, I see the higher elevations to the south of Syracuse are nearing 40 degrees. Cold air is settled a bit more here in the lowlands. I think that might be the highest we get around here, as it looks like temps are in the 20s just to the west. Time to get the car cleaned out before whatever moisture is free freezes into an even denser glacier...
  5. Interesting. I got between 4.5 and 5 inches here. I think your area has actually been doing worse synoptically this year than much of the rest of the county.
  6. They must have a group of snow weenies teaching math in the public schools over there.
  7. My call for Friday: 1) It stays south and is weak sauce...we get a couple inches. 2) It strengthens and heads due north somewhere directly over a Great Lake.
  8. They probably measured at a sugar drift where it poured off their roof. The general public is idiotic when it comes to weather.
  9. I have noticed during my time of living in the Great Lakes area that a solid snow pack can stick around until about March 10th. After that, the big time melt-refreeze period kicks in.
  10. Oh, shut up and enjoy the one tenth of an inch of snow you'll get on Friday.
  11. That might "cheer Freak up" but for some of us.................................... Yeah, I mentioned this when I noticed the Kuchera actually showing less snow than the 10:1.
  12. I can't wait to see your snow depth reach 13.6 inches by Friday night.
  13. I understand you live in a snow pit, but why do you continue to come on here and guilt us all for "living in a place that averages over 80 to 100 inches a winter"? I know since you don't live in a lake effect area, it's tough to understand the crapfest we've been dealing with in Upstate New York the past couple winters. Compared to AVERAGE, it's been awful. When you live somewhere where more consistent winter is sort of expected or the norm...you expect a more solid winter than you would living in NYC. Many of us living in this zone are on here because we are passionate about BIG snows and yes, some choose their area in hopes of great winters (muah included in that). It's also a bit discomforting to think that our climate over here may be shifting towards a more coast-like one, with these mixed-bag events and just mild air in general.
  14. I'm here for support guys. lol.. I saw it coming days ago and have already grieved. I'm good. Remain Calm.
  15. Lol...we actually didn't do "too" bad here in Lysander compared to other places that busted BADLY. I mean we only got half of what was predicted...but I think I'm becoming acclimated to this being the norm.
  16. Same. As soon as I went to bed, I heard the pinging. Woke up at 3ish and didn't hear anything. Looked outside and didn't look like it was doing much at all. Definitely had some freezing drizzle and the car windows have a little layer of ice.
  17. Yeah, I saw that. Mesos trying to show some LES love. Might be one of our best shots at it this year.
  18. Going to bed before I hear the pingers banging against the window. Good night, weather friends!
