  1. You had me pumped for an amazing week, and now all I can say is
  2. Looks almost like a little clipper pattern (at least temporarily) for next week on the GFS. Obviously not the Arctic cold that comes along with the good ones. Or, t could just be a North Pacific wave train. If you want deep snowpack lake effect at this time of the year doesn't do it. The February sun torches it. The several inches on my car is rapidly disappearing. lol
  3. Back to hoping Lake Ontario provides something meaningful instead.... Otherwise, good riddance to a synoptic crapfest of a winter.
  4. Yep. Miss to the north. Miss to the south. Miss to the north. Miss to the south. Throw some weak lake effect snow in there. Same pattern. Another week. I keep hoping maybe this one will work out for us and move north at the last minute...but I remember hoping the same for the other ones that missed us to the south! ha!
  5. Hmm, you must have gotten screwed as it transitioned. It poured snow here for a couple hours. Ended up with 3 to 4 inches.
  6. Farther North and West on several of the 06Z runs. You can just see that desire the low has to move north and then the classic "bend" we have become accustomed to this season. Let's see if we can get it to work in our favor this time. What you see in the 06Z runs may be our best option... because if a low remains west of the Apps, it's "Ships A'hoy!" to a Great Lake. Safe bet for Friday: 3 to 6 inches for many of us.
  7. Yeah, radar looks awful...BUT I just got back from a glorious Jebwalk in 1/4 mile visibility heavy snowball. Between 2 and 3 inches has fallen. So, radar isn't picking up on it well. On another note, we've had many midnight snowfalls this season. lol
  8. It may have lost some intensity, but it is snowing heavily here as the area of LES moves back in.
  9. At least the Southern Tug is getting some good Orographic lift...
  10. Looks like a ground covering snow for all of the northeast...except northern Maine! lol
  11. Now the band is lifting north. These bands always want to lift north. Oh well..00Z runs seem to show it sweeping through here later. We'll see.
  12. @BGM Blizzard, on those Euro runs. As I said earlier today, it's either weak and waaaaaay south, or amped and waaaaaaaay north. This winter sucks for Upstate. Period.
  13. Getting some decent squalls, but probably nothing like you guys are getting. This may end up being another one of those events like December where you guys right on the border get over a foot and I get 6 inches. I wish it would nudge south just a little bit more.
  14. Now that the band is taking shape, snow is lightening up here. I wonder why that always happens...as the band forms, it "steals" away any moisture that is fanned out around it.
  15. I'm just to the NE of Baldwinsville....it's going to be close for me. Might miss out on the best here. Looks like my 3 amigos to the north will be good.
  16. Not in the heaviest banding that looks to be in Southern Oswego, but huge fluff bombs falling rapidly from the sky. Quite breezy with this one.
  17. It better not sit up there the whole flipping night. I know it's "supposed to" head this direction...but I've seen this set up on a westerly flow like that with the curve towards the north at its tip.
  18. Binghamton skipped right over making a map for their northern forecast area's Lake effect snow and jumped right to Friday.
