  1. So the other day, wolfie posted a forecast discussion about temps making it to the mid 70s next week...and I "jokingly corrected" it to "and Syracuse will be 80 degrees... NEVER fails these days in Sizzlercuse....
  2. Interesting waves/bands of snow rolling along on what sort of looks like a main band or trajectory. Heavy bursts of snow accumulating nicely!
  3. Several inches here this morning. I was surprised! The Cuse area has been getting hit hard. Currently snowing heavily again here in Bville. I took this picture around 7 this morning...we've probably picked up another inch since.
  4. It went from looking like the LES would be missing the Cuse to the South and West to now missing us to the north and east. Lol This year is driving me batty.
  5. Good call. You and Max have good experience with local climo...this must not be uncommon for the area, despite the "high annual totals" Syracuse touts. The average must get there from those rare, random several foot dumps that comes every few years.
  6. A half hour of sleet at 6:30. A period of snow from 10 to 12. Flurries in between. Maybe a half inch of slush that has mostly melted. I can't believe I fell for it again once the NAM seemed to agree. Shame on me! Fooled way too many times...the weenie in me is definitely bruised.
  7. Band jumped over Onondaga County. Better banding over Ithaca and Binghamton, who look to get more than the Cuse as well. Webcam from Ithaca already shows that as truth. North, West, and South.
  8. Rgem sets it up over No. Onondaga county. As you've pointed out, it does the best with LES. So, I hope it's right.
  9. It's uncanny how it's been the SAME thing for 6 months. CNY misses the synoptic to the north and west....the lake effect afterwards sets up and blasts the hills south of Syracuse. Donut hole reigns on.
  10. Big wet flakes that are actually accumulating on everything.
  11. The band continues to fall part, as well as lift due north, as it tries to move in here. lol
  12. That radar shows EXACTLY why there was a minimum over you know where...
  13. Dusting # 43444934202 this morning. Now in the typical dryslot while everything reforms just to the north...allowing what we had to begin melting...so that by the time the main band gets here it will be too warm in full sunlight to accumulate. Enjoy your beautiful wintry morning, Western NY friends. This winter is dead to me.
  14. Oh well...it would probably be rain here anyways. 38 degrees in the Cuse while everyone else sits in the low to miss 30s... Lol
  15. Why have these systems always gotten "hung up" where they're making progress and then they get into our region and everything pauses? Then it just trains...every system that has taken this route this year. I thought for sure I would see something by now with the way the radar looked before bed. But, alas, it somehow shunted just to the southeast of the Cuse and we sit in the zone of boredom. It looks like things are finally starting to move east now.
  16. We'll see...it looks like that precip over Northern PA is heading for this region. The band over Buffalo will be the part that drops over you guys, and we'll see where the secondary "max" sets up for this region. Looks like the Finger Lakes/Rochester could be in the screw zone.
  17. I don't like how everything forming in NY is moving due North...maybe even a bit NW. Seen that waaaaaay too many times with systems this season. The Lake Ontario/Southern Ontario looks we've seen.
  18. Did you put every sleeping bag in your house on that fence of yours?
  19. Nice! You guys have all night to accumulate over there. Perfect timing!
