  1. Check out the THM forcefield in Bville pushing that Low and front waaaay up to North Bay. lol
  2. Ha! Yeah, if the next few winters end up crappy like the past couple..and the following summers continue with these 20 day+ 90 degree days.... Yep! The wife insists the next move will not be within New York state though... lol
  3. Next move...somewhere over 1000 feet in elevation...the more the better. Gonna need some height to escape the rapid warming that seems to be occurring.
  4. It was achieved even before noon. Like I've said this year, add 5 degrees to whatever is being forecasted for Sizzlercuse.
  5. Syracuse is ridiculous. It's gotta be one of the hottest locations at this latitude. The downsloping from those hills to the south creates a microclimate of blazing warmth. Hate it.
  6. If it comes out of the south tomorrow and down those hills, I can easily see the Cuse hitting 90 again.
  7. Apparently still 87 degrees at the airport here... at 10 pm...ridiculous.
  8. Just got back from South Carolina. It WAS cooler there most of this past week than in freakin Sizzlecuse. Very pleasant, actually...
  9. Don't you fret. As soon as the sun comes out, it will warm up 15 degrees in 5 minutes.
  10. Sizzlercuse touched 80... Five degrees above forecasted and warmer than everyone else again.
  11. Look at that...Syracuse is the hottest city in the state...again. 5 degrees warmer than forecasted at 86. Less snowfall and HOT summers seems to be the "new norm" here.
  12. It's hard to believe mid 70s is average here right now, when it seems like we spend so much time in the 80s and 90s. It's also hard to believe that the peak of the highest "average high" is just around 82 degrees, when again, 86 to 94 degrees seems like a normality here...at least since I moved here. Like I've said before, I think Syracuse is experiencing rapid warming compared to some other locales across the country.
  13. You really do live in quite the rain/snow shadow there!
  14. My brother lives in Orwigsburg between Pottsville and Hamburg, and they got pounded by rain on Thursday. Many flooded houses and substantial damage reported.
  15. The last couple days have felt "better" compared to the hot soup of last weekend and early week. I can't wait for low 70s and 50s next week. They can stick around for the rest of the summer!
  16. That's how it is here in the burbs of Syracuse as well. The roads aren't designed for it.
  17. Size is perfect. Climate is nice. Keep the hundreds of McMansion developments with treeless yards away, and it will be fabulous.
  18. I'm casually looking for jobs in Springville... LOL
  19. The SIXTH 90+ degree day of the year in stupid Syracuse....and it's only the first week of June!!! I wore my "Chasing the snow" shirt today for our "Beach Day" theme. If I wanted 80 degree temps before 9 am in the morning, I'd move to Florida.
  20. Hey, all...been awhile. Soooo busy with end of school year stuff. I'm glad to see you adopted my "Sizzlecuse" terminology. Absolutely ridiculous here. As I observed, almost always 4 to 5 degrees hotter than forecasted...and making it to 90 degrees seems so easy. One of the hottest cities along the east coast today....and several times this hot season already. Hate it. Next move: A mountain top.
