The Sizzle Sizzle didn't fail here. Warmest in the state yet again...temp shot up 8 to 10 degrees the second SW flow kicked in. Yawn.

Michiganders are ridiculously fast drivers. The awful driving habits of that state is one of the only things I DON'T miss about living there. I miss so much about living in West Michigan...but the drivers there suck. It's such a shame, because outside of the driving, so many Michiganders are such wonderful people. After our visit to see old friends there, we are considering moving back in the next few years.

Oh, for goodness sakes! How could anybody argue that we aren't accelerating climate change?!?! Above normal...above normal...GAAAAAHHH! I was born in the wrong century. lol

Yep...Canadian coins...loonies...toonies.... it's Canada.

Really makes you realize how every day is a gift, as we are never guaranteed a tomorrow.

We've had a couple of lows near 50 degrees over the past few weeks....but with Syracuse being built on swamps/wetlands and the urban heat island, it's probably going to take a while...

The mosquitoes didn't carry you away?!? They have been AWFUL in the Syracuse area this week. You can't even walk outside without getting attacked by tons of little ones. Social media has been lighting up with chatter about them. lol

Per usual, the second the wind turned SW in Sizzlecuse, the temp skyrocketed almost 10 degrees to near 70. Here in the Northwest burbs, the rain moved in and we only made it up to 65 degrees. Currently 63 and it feels amazing.

Maybe a waterspout could come from this?

Syracuse, the ridiculous, is once again the warmest in the state at 79 degrees...several degrees above anticipated.

Sitting here in the pharmacy making sure I don't have side effects. I ended up breaking down a bit in tears....this has been hard for me to get this thing for reasons of my own...But I just couldn't fathom one my students dying if I passed it to them. Seems so silly to be emotional about it...but just a another perspective ...

Thanks for your response. Yes, the "research" is overwhelming. A big deciding factor for me is that the Delta variant seems to be spreading in children easier. I just can not fathom the kids at school (I work in a school) getting sick because of me not doing what I could have done to reduce their odds of illness. I could not live with myself. My wife's family also has bad asthma...I need to do what I can do. I can't believe how nervous I am about getting it, but I am. In talking with others, I realize I am not alone in that though, which has also been comforting. A colleague encouraged me to rub my arm nice and firmly after getting it because it helps to spread the injection around. I have also read that drinking Gatorade and being well hydrated helps to reduce side effects.

Nooooooooow I know why you want that "warm" Fall until November. Keep those lakes toasty so you and @Syrmax can go skinny dipping in then AND chase heavy lake effect snowfalls....all in the same day...in November....
