  1. 11 degrees Sunday night?! Wow, it will feel like...WINTER!
  2. I'll be happy for the Capital-region snowlovers if there's a good snowfall there. Snowfall has been pretty lacking there as well over the years.
  3. This is a bit different in that if the High, which is actually there, pushes south more, the system will run in more a west to east fashion...rather than what has become the typical SW to NE fashion. That could save us and give us several inches.
  4. Looks like BGM is going with 3 to 4 inches north of the Thruway:
  5. Warmest in NY State: 67 degrees in Sizzlecuse. SW winds and nobody else in this state can compete with the flamethrowing burning furnace that is this place.
  6. You didn't because you knew that my big mouth/flapping fingers would....
  7. At this point, I wouldn't mind a 4 inch thump of snow, followed by a layer of sleet, and then some lake effect on top. I love the snow-preserving qualities of a sleet layer!
  8. Much better look! I like how you can see the push of colder air down into the Eastern US based on that snowfall output.
  9. It legit looks like somebody intentionally cropped out, in a circular motion, Central NY from being in that purple. lol... @Syrmaxand @Thinksnow18, how did you hack the GEFS???
  10. Unfortunately, I don't think Blue Moon will be with us anymore. He messaged me last night after some of his interactions on the OT and doesn't trust or feel comfortable being here anymore. I told him not to let that affect his decision, as we have a great group here...but he said he is done. Maybe he'll change his tune once we get some good events off Ontario...but based on his dialogue, I am doubtful he will return.
  11. Yeah, they all look pretty good for 3 to 6 inches along the Thruway(GFS and NAM a little on the edge). I don't blame them though for hesitating. As we've been talking about, these tend to go farther north and they seem to think the High isn't very strong in pushing south. Perhaps their thinking will change a bit with the most recent runs. I could see both NWS offices (BUF and BGM) bumping up to 2 to 3 inches for the NY 20 corridor and north to Lake Ontario.
  12. Great shot. Have a fantastic time with your family in the fresh air!
  13. I love what it's showing...it has a good thump of snow and the heaviest stuff is south. Leaves room for some northward movement. Biggest hesitation in jumping on board is that infamous Lake Ontario and up the St. Lawrence track these systems like to follow.
  14. The 12k bumped south as well. We have our general track with wiggles.
  15. This has got the right idea...the most common look with these systems over recent Winters....heavier snow over Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence.
  16. I called it two days ago. Slushy inch or less. White Christmas is looking iffy. At least there is somewhat colder air available to tap into next week.
  17. 57 degrees at midnight in Buffalo in December. Craziness!
  18. That looks good for the Ukie. It could be the most widespread snowfall of the season to date for New York state!
  19. St. Lawrence County??? Who wants bitter cold without the high snowfall averages? I suppose you have lots of frozen ponds and couple inch snowpacks though. Perhaps I could start working on this look:
  20. @Blue Moon, I'll make sure to really push Thinksnow for a 2 bedroom shanty for our banning to Worth, NY...
  21. The past decade has been a blowtorch. I don't know what the heck is going on with Syracuse but it seems to be ground zero for ridiculous warming. Not sure if they moved the thermometer at the airport to right outside an exhaust pipe or if the hellmouth below is releasing more heat...
