  1. Of course it has. Just as long it moved far enough north to screw the Syracuse region...then it can stop.
  2. Hey, nice to see you posting. How'd you guys make out up there? On the webcams it looks like almost completely covered ground there?
  3. I just can't believe my lowered expectations still weren't low enough!
  4. Do we hope for Lake Ontario to do its normal job of saving us with an inch of snow after the normal synoptic failure?
  5. Careful what you type...I saw buckeye lurking on here.................
  6. Perhaps the snow will pick up when this dry pocket (shocker) that formed over Onondaga county, goes away. Checking out webcams, it doesn't even look like downtown Syracuse/metro. area even has a coating. That's worse so far than how Buffalo has done! lol.... Atleast we have like 3/4's of an inch here in the NW burbs...haha
  7. It transitioned from heavy snow to heavy hell in about 1 minute.
  8. Two hours of snow with less than a slushy inch. That's what I called for 5 days ago. What's the point of having models anymore when we know it's going to be the SAME thing every time? Snow quickly shut off and doesn't seem to be doing anything now...Which means sleet and rain next. Maybe we'll have some forsythia blooming for a yellow Christmas...
  9. Big flakes here...but since it's been April the past week, snow is struggling to add up. By the time we finally hit an inch, we'll change over. Looks like the Mix line may be holding at the Thruway for a bit. When did winters become so sucky?
  10. Latitude doesn't seem to matter anymore with the never-ending strong Pacific jet blowtorching across the nation right into the Northeast. There have been so many days this past year where it's been hotter or the same temperature in the NE as it has been in the South...it's crazy, but becoming more and more common, it seems.
  11. Sizzlecuse still struggling to even drop to its average HIGH (35 degrees) for the day at 1:30 in the morning on December 18th. 33 degrees here in the NW burbs.
  12. Euro looks even worse...lol...The hundreds of miles north in the last 24 hours kick in the you know what...Let's just take it the whole way up to Quebec.
  13. You know how it'll work. It comes through here as mixed crap or rain and then blossoms as a solid band of snow as it hits Lake Ontario. Then that band trains north and east of us while we sit in maritime, showery and drizzly air.
  14. Yup. Definitely pushed north...yawn. Look at all that warm air just surging northward west of the Apps.
  15. We've become the Mid-Atlantic...with the scorching Great Lakes, and the Pacific thousands of miles away, keeping us warm and rainy instead of the Atlantic and Chesepeake.
  16. Those two suites are like siblings that can never get along and always go different ways...just cause...
  17. Well, if we do manage to get some snow on the ground, perhaps some of it can survive the 35 to 40 degree temps for the next week for a Patchy White Christmas...or Snow Pile Christmas...
  18. Gah. We have to always go with the farthest north track. Unfortunately, the farthest north keeps going farther north on the models...
  19. Most recent long range RAP is great for all 4 major Upstate Cities...half a foot for each:
  20. I truly thought I was getting away from being on the mix line I grew up with in Lancaster, PA. Nassomuch
  21. Yeah, 6Z runs look worse. They took a big wobble north. The path we have become accustomed to where the band sits over Lake Ontario and wastes snow...
  22. The wind has been whipping the past couple hours! 40 to 50 mph gusts. It's been quite the windy week for sure!
  23. Yup...it's been a freaking furnace here. AND, we'll have yet another ridiculously warm "high" coming in for December 17th since the front took its time getting here and it's still in the mid 50s overnight. We've had so many of these overnight high temperatures the past couple years. It's insane. The climate doesn't seem to care about nocturnal effects these days. I wouldn't call 4 to 6 inches "gang busters." But...you've had like an inch of snow this year, so I'll let it slide...as it's understandable...
  24. BUF definitely changed their tune...looks like they're going 4 to 5 inches north of the Thruway.
