  1. yeah it was bad around my house, heavy saggage of trees, driveway sketchy. Most ice this season except for the actual "ice storm" a few weeks ago. Hardly anything here in FIT.
  2. Glazing up nicely here. Love ice, might be my favourite weather event. Just so unique you know?!
  3. Think we have a chance to stay frozen through the whole event?
  4. If NAM is right then Hubb and I might hear some cracking branches tonight.
  5. lol. I'm on all those roads for very short distances, like a mile each.
  6. Rt 2, 140, 31, 12, 2A.....all horrible on my ride in. Heavy thick sleet. Little less down here in FIT than at my house.
  7. We'll get a messenger shuffle during nowcast like we always do
  8. you better get ready for 40 mm of ice and sleet brotini.
  9. Box doesn't seem to concerned about about icing anywhere.....
  10. meh. NAM is just slow to catch up. Come tomorrow morning we'll all be in the dumps since it's going to be .25" of ice with some slop snow and light rain.
  11. God i hope so. Hubby and I huddled close together at the basement wood stove while branch bombs carpet the ground outside.
  12. I'm scared of too much frozen water on hemlocks above my garage, are you scared?
  13. We just had a bad ice storm 11 years ago, the models should know about history and know that it's not happening again for at least another 50 years I'd say.
  14. Everyone go to NNE this weekend so the whining can stop
  15. I mean we could have at least used a few weeks of cold weather....get some ice skating/fishing in, kill off bugs and ticks. You know, winter stuff.
  16. not really an 80s pattern because it hasn't been cold between systems.
  17. My question is....why do the models always show an ice look this far out? It rarely happens that we get big ice, so I don't know why they show it. Something isn't adding up.
  18. I've done it twice and was scared to do it, but it's not as bad as it looks. A few sketchy areas, but the stuff on Oahu I've done was way worse
  19. I'm on the same page as you, let's make it count with sig ice. At this point in the season snow doesn't stick around anyway
  20. Thread for 60 degree temps masked as winter
  21. Yeah Atlantic Canada is one area I've always wanted to visit.....it's like New England but more hardcore
  22. Would feel better if this was Friday
