  1. I’m not arguing that April should feature sustained cold and snow, I’m arguing that it has featured abnormal, unseasonal snows the past 2 years, along with May and October.
  2. Snowed twice in May in downtown Chicago last year. We’ve had accumulating snowfalls multiple times per April the past two years in a row. Halloween snow seems to have happened twice in the past 3 years and Novembers have been cold with the exception of this past one. Only trouble is DJF
  3. December is turning into November, January into December, February into January, March to February, and April to March. So it goes. Deep winter is disappearing but winter itself is becoming prolonged with dogsh*t events
  4. It’s going to happen. They will be our snowiest months, mark these words
  5. Where’d you get 54”? Maybe its a data window thing. Let me google that for you...
  6. Snowiest place in the world. Sh*t gets real there. A weenie can dream...
  7. In most winters, I doubt you would notice a big difference. Plus, if you move to Minneapolis, then you’ll want to move to Duluth. If you move to Duluth, then you’ll want to move to Marquette. If you move to Marquette, then you’ll want to move to Watertown. Just skip it all and move to Hokkaido. Now there’s a metropolitan area with some real snow: Sapporo, 191 inches per year with a population of 2 million
  8. That’s probably where the 9” difference comes from then. In normal or above normal snowfall years for both cities, the difference will be negligible. Chicago just has negative skew. Curious to hear what median snowfall is?
  9. Take a look at northern hemisphere temperature anomalies. The cold is in north central Russia. It happens .
  10. Minneapolis only averages 9” more per year of snow than Chicago. Lake Zurich probably cuts that in half. In most winters, the difference between Minneapolis and Chicago is negligible. This is just a particularly bad streak, and Minneapolis will get theirs soon enough.
  11. I’ll pick up what the euro is putting down if no one else will
  12. That’s the most snow I’ve seen on a 10 day map in a year I think
