  1. Interesting. I’d have thought there’s enough consensus now you can be reasonably confident issuing a watch.
  2. Should start seeing the watches hoisted with evening AFDs. Going to need blizzard warnings in Iowa
  3. GEFS similar trend, slightly further south and weaker.
  4. It’s beautiful. Any further north than 6z was getting cringeworthy for the metro
  5. Wild to me that Chicago’s last 6”+ snowstorm was November 2018, and that at ORD. For the Loop, last 6” storm I can remember was Feb 2018. Has been a horrendous stretch and it is finally coming to an end.
  6. Yea I guess the question is, do you believe that solution. I know the NAM is not alone
  7. There is not a big difference here. 0.8” of QPF putting down 9” is pretty realistic for a late afternoon - evening event in mid January
  8. I know this shouldn’t come as a surprise to me but man has the NAM been horrendous with this event
  9. Still going some after this. Still feel like QPF underdone east of the Mississippi
  10. I’ll call 6-12” storm total in Chicago. 6-10” for Hoosier.
  11. Thereeeeeee we go. Was wondering where you were
  12. The GEM and the NAM are alone. Sincerely more worried about precip types here but ultimately think we’ll be fine in the entire LOT CWA. Beginning to turn into a QPF issue rather than where will main band set up.
  13. If we miss this to the south, it better be Hoosier who jackpots
  14. The more I see maps from that event vs this one, the less I feel they’ll even compare. Nevertheless, this will be good one
