It is a good point on the clipper parades. I can’t remember the last good one where we had several 1-3” type events in a week. That’s supposed to be what we’re known for!
Good look on long range ensemble guidance at 500mb for the northeast to be fair. If the Atlantic cooperates, which I feel like could happen before the Pacific goes back to being sh*t, then we could get some decent clipper action while the northeast cashes in on their window.
I’m happy it finally looks like winter again. Took the dog out for a walk, we probably have 1.5” or so. Below expectation, but you don’t need much to set the mood.
Also glad I moved away from the Loop. Much better to experience an event in a neighborhood.
FGEN placement is difficult to forecast. It ended up northwest of expectation (see Cedar Rapids, Rockford, etc.
No one’s fault, it’s part of what makes forecasting interesting and a skill.
