  1. Yup! Old school lift. I got to the top at 3:50 and the seasoned ski patrol guy up top said “ok, this is your last run have fun!” I got back to the base lift at 3:59 jumped on and winked at him when I got back off again up top.
  2. Great day at Black Mt. conditions were awesome groomers all day. It’s like the Berkshire East of NH!! #oldschoolNewEngland
  3. It’s my favorite! Spent a lot of great times at that mountain and hope to get back there soon.
  4. I can't believe we have another poster from Franklin Co! Make sure you post in obs threads too! But yeah, Berkshire has done a great job considering how winter has gone. Saturday was great snow all day.
  5. Another quiet Saturday at Berkshire East. Snow was great!
  6. Nice little New England mountain tour you guys are doing.
  7. Hopefully February brings the goods in terms of snow. It is a classic old-school New England mountain and when it is wide open it is super fun! Wachuesett has more trails (and is fantastic) but B’East has more vertical and glades if we can actually get them open.
  8. B’East folks did a damn fine job making that mountain enjoyable today! Once again, a little rain in the forecast kept folks away but conditions were great through the afternoon.
  9. They must’ve blown snow on lower lift line all week because it was in great shape.
  10. Nice morning at Berkshire East no lines and the snow was real nice packed powder and soft machine groomed.
  11. Snowmaking crews and groomers did a nice job pulling Berkshire East into shape this week.
  12. There are so many ski areas in New England that are bigger and more up-to-date but there’s something about that place that makes me smile.
  13. Wasn’t as mushy as you would think. Pretty damn good snow considering it was close to 60° when the sun was out.
  14. Pretty fantastic spring conditions at Berkshire East right now. Probably no more than 100 people or so here and it is an absolutely gorgeous sunny day. I think the rain forecast scared a lot of people away.
  15. Berkshire was pretty much closed yesterday so kids lesson was canceled and my buddy was up at Stratton today with morning wind holds and lots of ice. Hopefully things turn around after next weekend. High dews will not be welcomed though.
  16. Brutal weekend for skiers in CNE/SNE, rain yesterday howling wind gusts today.
  17. It’s ironic because they had the earliest opening ever due to good temperatures in November and a great start to December and now January is the meh’ month. Luckily the Greenfield recreation department ski program will give us a rain check if tomorrow is lousy.
  18. Taking my kid to B'East the next 4 Saturdays for lessons and some turns for me and the wife. Expecting meh' conditions in the rain tomorrow but I'll still get some runs in.
  19. 1) Blizzard of 78 (I was 10 and school was cancelled for a week!) 2) April Fool s 97 (Awesomeness!) 3) January 2005 Blizzard (30"+ in Cambridge) 4) October 2011 Snow Storm (Freak storm) 5) Hurricane Irene (Western New England flooding was surreal) Runner up: Feb 2013 I've had several personal severe weather episodes that have been personally mind blowing but were isolated so I went with the historic stuff.
