    The peace sign almost got struck by lightning! Lol. The last bolt looks like it struck the neighborhood across the road from me, i’m surprised power is still on.

    No question that is a lion. I know a retired DCR officer from Greenfield who told me the state knew of at least 2 different Catamounts in the Charlemont/Savoy area of W MA but he said the state nor feds would ever admit to it. That was probably 8 or 9 years ago I had that conversation.

    When is that from? That sure as hell ain't no Bobcat or Lynx. I probably know a dozen people in W MA and S VT that swear they have seen a Catamount.

    Yes, we were driving up I-91 N. I just assumed it was lightning but it was bright.

    Swampy but tolerable day. Clouds kept us from ever getting above 84F 74/72. Finally had to put the air-conditioning on around 5 PM.

    I just heard the longest continuous rumble of thunder I think I’ve ever heard.

    The sky to the NE of Greenfield is dark and menacing. Looks like it’s all skirts north and east of here though.

    That's a great peak! Last time I was up there we got nicked by some severe that definitely made it a full on adventure.
