  1. Maybe above 1000' but that would have to be a hell of a storm storm to get you gusting 35-40.
  2. It will be fine. Get off I-91 down around Hatfield and take 5/10 from there. More rewarding views imo. After Sugarloaf it is only a short drive into Greenfield/Shelburne/Colrain. Here is one nice side trip: After the rotary take Rt 2 W a few miles to Peckville Road, you will see the sign for APEX orchards, take that right and go up the hill 2 miles. The view is kill up there and Apex has a little cider store and deck with long views East. Plus all the apples you can eat. If hard cider is more your thing go visit W Co Cider in the barn across the street. You can pull right up to both places so non-difficult access.
  3. The foliage in Greenfield and points west is off the charts good this week.
  4. If model trends hold, somewhere in WNE or ENY will see a period of prolific rains. Luckily this will move relatively fast until it possibly retros over Maine.
  5. Oh' how I pray for a valley dryslot. Deep rain deficit here but would rather make it up slowly. Not too worried about winds, out here those are only a worry for the 1k+ club in the hill towns.
  6. Maybe he's thinking Lake Quinsigamond? "That party boat was the pride of the Shrewsbury side, coming back from some dive bar in Worcerster. As the pontoon boats go it was drunker than most with the crew and good captain all heavin".
  7. I can't really think of any SNE lakes that run ore freighters.
  8. Point is that this ends up further E as we get closer.
  9. Well, it does seem like we have been discussing "fast flow" as the current paradigm for quite a while now. More than just 2019.
  10. I think this ends up uderwhelming those of us on land. A little too far off the coast for meaningful wind impact or prolonged +RA.
  11. Maybe the models begin to pick on faster flow and this misses phasing. I'm not interested in 2-3" of rain so weenies on Nantucket can see tropical force gusts. Not that I have a choice of course.
  12. Getting close to full moon. Love the wave pics posted above, this has been a complete non-event out here.
  13. Oh' wow, I hadn't checked in much today or looked at the radar. That sucks. It was mostly cloudy here but low 60's.
  14. Faster than modeled upper level flow bump this forecast East? Certainly a nice day and beautiful evening here. Big qpf bust on most models.
  15. Let’s just start a petition to get NWS to move the official WeatherStation to Boston Common.
  16. I am happy as can be. Our rain deficit is going to dent the tick cycle a bit. Beautiful, dry, windy day here.
  17. Wow, stunning blue sky morning. Talk about blown forecast for these parts.
  18. Euro and GFS look like we go AN for a stretch during 2nd half of the month. Hope it works out
  19. Nice to see you back, looking forward to our transition into winter mode around 11/15.
  20. Off and on light showers now but I can see where the sun is out to my NW. 54°
