Widespread power issues, even with leaf out you need 5-6” or more.

We stick with window units just because I hate home AC. We use it during heat waves but hours of AC makes me feel like shit. That’s why in BN summers I never even install. I do use it in the car though when necessary.

Stunning morning here, windows open, birds singing. Glad we didn’t get those showers overnight since I left my Subaru sunroof open.

One of the worst tick seasons I can remember. I’ve had 4 bites and taken at least 20 of myself, dog and family. I am really careful about checking after being in the woods and woke up this morning with two attached. Not bloated so probably only on me for a few hours but still sucks. I guess lucky for me I’m already on antibiotics from Tuesday’s emergency wisdom tooth extraction.

Excellent plan! Sleepy or not the boy will still have me up early in the morning to do stuff. There are pros and cons to having a nine-year-old when you’re over 50. Mostly pros.

Monadnock is closer for me and I know a bunch of different trails. That being said I can probably get away with finding snow somewhere much closer to Greenfield. Maybe Catamount SF in Colrain. Nobody will bother me up there.
