This is my house and neighborhood in Greenfield taken just a few minutes ago. We had a solid pack, but a lot of of it is CAD. Currently 39° here off a high of 44°.

Rarely happens, we had a few storms where North Central Franklin County was the sweet spot. You are generally 15 to 20% ahead of me and Ray and I are usually neck and neck. I haven’t looked recently, but I think he is a good 10” behind Greenfield this year.

43° in downtown Greenfield 53° in downtown Amherst. That’s a pretty good spread over 18 miles.

Still 36° in downtown Greenfield. I was really hoping to melt the ice in my driveway today.

Depending on how April plays out, there could be some pretty serious flooding in NNE. Their snow pack can absorb a lot of water.

Temperatures starting to soar outside of the valley.

We had a glaze of freezing drizzle earlier this morning, but above freezing now. 34° with occasional drizzle.

My cousin loves telling the story about going to a Grateful Dead concert in Philly that night. Walking in to the show in the pouring rain and coming out to several inches of snow and having to drive back to NY. The band must've known what was up because they started the show with the song "Cold Rain and Snow"

Outside of NNE flooding potential this spring, most likely 8 months of weather boredom incoming.

Do you have a woodstove? That's the way to go if you want heat and an open window. Otherwise you wastin' $

I'm just psyched models are caving to the idea of no lengthy or significant warming periods in SNE. Yay! I have been pulling for a suckass Mid-March to Mid-April period.

Who cares? As long as we get more cold shots, without snow, to keep our heating bills high, it's a win. Right?

Uhg, already down to 12F I'm guessing somewhere between 2F - 5F when I let the dog out in the morning. I'm 200lbs and can walk across the snow pack without denting it now. Glacier.

We couldn’t get out of the mid 40s because of cloud cover in the valley.

I’m sure after a few downslope dandy March teases April will be cloudy and 40s for weeks on end.

Something is coming in the 7th to 14th period. Might just be tracking ghosts, but I think we will have something to track at least.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for 60's anywhere over the interior. We'll see. Winter's back is broken and warm days are ahead but we are probably not done with snow over the deep interior of SNE and CNE. I mean, I'll only cal it over, when I am no longer getting snow events.
