  1. Same year there was a foot of snow in the Boston suburbs on April 6th. Those were the days.
  2. I don't remember the year, sometime in the early 2000's, I was in Craftsbury VT and we saw swirling, twisting, multi-color pillars with the shimmering in the background. I was mesmerized.
  3. Had an hour of light to moderate rain here.
  4. Did you go to the pinball museum/arcade?
  5. 68/28 with full sun in Greenfield.
  6. That is going to be a big financial hit for a lot of people.
  7. The Pineneedles stuck to it will give a nice woodsy textured look.
  8. Damn, the NAM barely has a sprinkle tomorrow S of VT/NH border.
  9. Monster gusts earlier. Lifted the log weighted 10’ piece of sheet metal off my wood pile and threw it about 8’.
  10. That was wild, it wasn’t just to the north either, the whole sky was lit up.
  11. I thought for sure Sarasota would have a pretty bad surge. I wonder which area got the worst surge? It sounds like the entire coast got somewhat lucky in what could’ve been a much worse scenario.
  12. The flooding from the prodigious rains won’t be realized until tomorrow.
  13. Yeah, I’m very interested in seeing the final tornado count. The tornadoes will end up being the background story relative to surge expectations. I think the same thing happened with Helene. Less populated parts of the coast took a major hit but nobody was paying attention to the flooding up north until it was underway.
  14. Torrential rains and fresh water flooding may be the big story in the Tampa area.
  15. It will still be awful for many but rain, wind and surge is likely to underperform many weenies over inflated expectations. I’m not downplaying and have no interest in being in Florida right now but I think many dodged a bullet relative to potential from this system.
  16. Obviously slightly better scenario for Tampa Bay area but I imagine the initial surge would still be substantial into the bay on that track? This all seems terrible for Sarasota which I have a familial connection to.
  17. A huge section of the "major impact" area looks like that. Milton will end up being known as the condo inundator. . .
  18. Tampa Bay area has been ground zero for days and there is nothing to solidly indicate that won't be the case +/- 30mi N or S. A super populated area that is all under the gun.
