  1. A series of 1-3" storms would be some welcome entertainment. A stretch that may only drop 6-8" total in 10 days but keeps a wintery vibe going.
  2. We could easily go cold and dry to screaming cutter as the pattern relaxes. I think many in SNE may see their first "measurable snow" in the next 2 weeks but I'm not seeing any qpf rich snowfalls in that period.
  3. Maybe even get the ground briefly whitened but too warm aloft and best dynamics are most likely well N of you. This is a NNE storm and fits climo.
  4. This couldn’t be better news for the ski areas. Hoping Friday is completely dry to do some walking around Boston with the family.
  5. I think anybody south of the Vermont border is cooked in terms of accumulating snow. Especially if this comes in a little weaker than modeled.
  6. Very elevation dependent. Under 800' or so will be meh' and even elevations will need this to crank S of a line from Stratton to Concord.
  7. Great album, underrated band. Never even nominated for the Rock and Roll hall of fame.
  8. Nothing close to that is happening for us but I'll be sad if the upper valley gets first measurable and I'm be in Chelmsford for the holiday and miss it. I'll be really sad if I miss it and then come back to a driveway of frozen slop, that's impossible to move w/o a plow.
  9. The Valley will be tricky because even with good dynamics it's marginal temps and topography will still affect rates.
  10. Do you have an approximate time? My kid and I both heard a loud bang that came from outside of our house. I was not paying attention to what time it was but it was probably between 6-7pm
  11. Heavy fog tonight. It was under an 1/8 mi visibility coming back from town just now.
  12. Spoken like a true counselor. Anyway, hoping we can take advantage of the cold and get a few short waves to move through. If not it’s still early.
  13. Housing prices in Western New England arr stupid at this point. A lot of the police and fire departments in Southern Vermont are short staffed because nobody can afford to move there. Same with Northampton.
  14. It’s sometimes snowing at the top of the hill behind my house and raining in my yard.
  15. I know that in W MA it’s much cheaper to buy the houses that are under 800’ feet elevation. The hill town real estate is spendy. We have snow loving friends who were choosing between a house at 600’ in Shelburne and 900’ in Heath a few years ago. They went with the Shelburne house which was nicer and about 40k less. They regret their decision. Lol. It’s amazing how much that 300 feet of difference makes with regards to snow.
  16. If it ends up cold and dry so be it. At least the cold air will be in place if we can get a shortwave or two with favorable track.
  17. Hopefully this whiffs and is just cloudy with possible passing showers for the coast. I would look to the period from 12-5 to 12-9 for something more wintery exciting region wide.
  18. Cat paws and mangled flakes mix with a little bit of rain. Not glamorous but I guess this counts as first flakes of the season.
  19. It’s no longer desperate though so I would rather have a dry holiday weekend.
  20. I’ll take Stein over most of today’s model solutions.
