    Everyone needs to relax, January is going to produce for all of SNE.

    For the CRV it was hours of arctic sand. Brutal. 4-5” of crap that weighed like lead in the shovel.

    Even though the sun is at one of its lowest angles of the year, it still feels warm standing out in the full sun today, even though it is only 32° here. I’m guessing it’s probably the lack of wind that’s making it feel that way.

    We really need something moderate or larger to pop before mid-month. At least a region wide 5”-8” in SNE to keep the weenies from bridge jumping.

    A little over 9” for the season so far. Be nice to triple that by the end of January…

    Yeah, full afternoon sun and 30s is going to vaporize this for almost everybody.

    It certainly didn’t seem that impressive here but somehow I managed to nickel and dime my way to 9” for the month. That is probably close to average for Greenfield but I’m not sure.

    Ended up with a solid inch at my house. Just enough so that I had to shovel the driveway. All of the secondary roads in town are quite slippery because the town did zero treatment for this.

    You will come to learn that those trailing bursts get vaporized over the mountains to our west 9 out of 10 times. Should still give some nice mood flakes.

    About .75” in Greenfield. Radar says we almost done.

    Might be a coating at best for us. Radar looks meager.

    Yeah, it was very spotty. When I was in Sunderland and Deerfield earlier today you could go a half mile from a half inch to barely a coating.

    You would think so but the heaviest echoes of the day are over my area now and barely anything is falling. Maybe the call needs to saturate more.

    OK, I didn’t realize. Greenfield is only had about 8” for the season. I forgot about that elevation storm they had a few weeks ago.

    This could be one of those storms that leaves Cape Cod and the Islands with higher season to date totals than the Berkshires.

    29° and overcast in Greenfield. I’m not really planning on anything here, maybe a coating?
