Yeah, SN/SN+ now with close to an inch on the picnic table. -
It may not last but beautiful snow growth right now, dendrites just stacking. Not used to seeing that in the valley.

Yeah, I don’t really like seeing that “broken slate gray” look but it’s early still. Couple of flakes spitting here in Greenfield.

38 to 40° up and down the valley so I think we’re going to waste the early precipitation.

I saw snowmobiles out on Barton Cove on the Connecticut River. The oxbow in Northampton also had snowmobiles and tons of ice fishermen.

I think west of Worcester and north of the Pike should prepare for mundane and just be happy that we’re getting accumulating snow. Any ticks east or weakening and out here we will be looking at a 2”- 3” type deal. I was hoping Berkshire East could pick up 6”+ but not really confident on that.

Bull’s-eye over Kevin and snow hole over Ineedsleep and Dave? I can’t see that happening like that.

That’s ambitious for the deep interior!

I’m expecting about eight hours of light to moderate snow back this way. To avoid disappointment, I’m setting my expectations at 3”-5”. There are too many caution flags for me to expect more than that 90 miles inland.

At least most in the forum are guaranteed to get accumulating snow. How much how much? We just don’t know. Just don’t know.

Yeah, I would say 3”+is a lock. I mean, I would start the hand ringing if we see the Euro go east and weaker at 12z.

That’s where I am leaning. It would be nice to break the 5” we got in the December storm.

Yeah, this could still end up a lot of moderate snowfall rates with only small pocket of +SN. I’ve seen Lucy pull the ball away so many times over the years, with fast moving coastals, that I’ll believe my forecast when I’m shoveling it.

I’m outside of town but only at about 350’. My favorite is when it’s white rain at my house and I can see the trees on the hill behind me caking with snow.

That’s always one of my least favorite ranges. There’s such a huge, sensible impact difference, between getting 4 inches and 8 inches of snow.

That should be a lock for Berkshire East. Hopefully even a little more.
