  1. Man, what an absolute beast spinning off shore. Just mesmerizing.
  2. Let's hope for a last minute Jan 2015 style shuffle east. Like the phase is a little less efficient than the modeling is implying now and we get a bit of a slide. Not expecting much sensible difference down here either way, but that wouldn't surprise me.
  3. This hurts a lot less since the foot of fluff we got last week has already been largely annihilated.
  4. If the high were staying put in Canada, I'd be a lot more bullish, but the fooker is diving off the coast. I find it hard to believe the coastal front thing Wiz is picturing can work out with that look, but we'll see. He was all over last week's event.
  5. Dontcha just love it when your arctic high slips east and helps bring the flow in off the ocean?
  6. That looks pretty brutal. Thankfully I'll have no pack left to preserve at that point anyway.
  7. One of my all time favorite flicks. "I make the weather!"
  8. Like a Bastardi filter that automatically generates the snowiest/most wrong solution possible?
  9. I believe that was the late month retro that slammed eastern NE with wind and rain. Like Burlington was raining while NYC piled up snow. Watching that rain snow line edge east in CT was incredibly protracted and painful.
  10. Remember when everyone melted over the NAM last Thursday? Take a deep breath folks. Sure it could cut, but it's not set in stone yet. If it's still going through Scranton at 6z Friday, we can probably meet Ray atop the Tobin.
  11. "It's a Mr. Death or something. He's come about the reaping? I don't think we need any!"
  12. A few weeks early for this trip down memory lane, but eff it. Some of the heaviest snow I've ever seen. I'm sure @Ginx snewx can attest.
  13. I just posted a radar grab in the memories thread. It was awesome, especially coming tight on the heals of that Norlun.
  14. A couple days after a bona fide norlun, we got this beast. I still remember how excited I was as the precipitation just exploded over New Jersey. Stayed up all night.
  15. 27" despite being clipped with the dry slot. Awesome storm. Not a slow mover either, as I recall.
  16. Serious question: why do they still run that thing? It's nailed one storm that I'm aware of in the past few decades. Does it have any real utility?
  17. Not many POS members either. Good to see almost uniformly deep solutions.
  18. The NAVGEM is in your big three?
  19. Anyone know anything about antecedent conditions before a frost quake? Just had a really loud boom and I can't figure out what the hell it was.
