  1. Man this is some summer of yore weather right here. Massive thunderstorms all night. Now sun and dews and a nice south breeze. Everybody and their mother is out on or in the water today. IODs racing, kids skiing, folks swimming. Awesome stuff. Interesting aside: I was at Chocomount beach on the south side of the island this morning and found a Portuguese man of war washed up. Apparently there have been several sightings on the island this week.
  2. It was a real show out here on Fishers last night. Sounded like an artillery barrage for a couple hours.
  3. Getting smacked at Fishers. Best light show in many years.
  4. Lots of logs and other debris washing up on Fishers the last day or two. I assume it's detritus getting washed down the CT River. Looks a little like after a major nor’easter or weak cane, except there are no chunks of demolished docks.
  5. I can’t believe how warm Fishers Island Sound is. Feels like mid September. You just ease into it like a bath.
  6. Lol. A thirty degree diurnal swing and low is still triple digits. Special place. Hard to believe people run a 135 mile ultramarathon through there.
  7. Yeah, could be. I don't recall any others.
  8. When was the last time we had a high risk for hydro? Ida maybe?
  9. Thank you! That was in the back of my mind, but wasn't sure.
  10. Sadly I'm not qualified to answer your question. Just chiming in to ask what storm that is in your avatar.
  11. Oof. Stickiest 8 mile jog of the summer. Just oppressive out there.
  12. Question is does that outflow boundary fire up more storms down towards New Haven?
  13. Somewhere in southern NY, Joey Chesnut's pancreas is breathing a sigh of relief.
  14. A few rumbles around. Muggy as hell out there. Definite summer vibes.
  15. down here. Barely dampened the ground since Saturday.
  16. Are we really looking at a bona fide tropical system in the MDR already? How often does that happen in June?
  17. You're chasing in Rhode Island? Have you learned nothing!?
  18. Wild cells in the Plains, as expected, but the one in Ohio may take the cake. The radar loop is mesmerizing.
  19. I was just thinking what a wild day this is. Really pretty unique. Street lights came on in New Haven.
  20. There's a ton of smoke overhead this morning. The sun looks like the eye of Sauron. Very cool looking.
  21. Not a drop of rain this weekend, nor a cloud to be seen this morning. Was not expecting that.
