  1. Moderate liquid snow. I tried to slant stick it, but my ruler went down a storm drain.
  2. I’m considering this winter full atonement for the glory of 2015. As far as im concerned, the debt has been paid off and we enter next winter with a clean slate.
  3. March was incredible. Leaving my office downtown to walk to the T with the temps in the upper 70s and magnolias and pears blossoming and girls in sun dresses reading on the Common was great.
  4. '11-'12 had a extraordinary early season HECS. This is way worse.
  5. In Scott's vein, here's a fun little video about the challenges of removing the snow in 2015 at MIT.
  6. The greatest Jebwalk I ever had was after that storm.
  7. Epic storm in Boston. Pretty unique radar evolution with a band swinging through up into coastal Maine, throwing on the brakes, then coming right back south.
  8. that was the second brutal bust in these parts that month. Was forecast to get a solid 12-18”. Wound up with 2”, while Islip due south pulled 24”. I recall Ryan catching some heat for that forecast.
  9. Yeah 20” in the hills of CT is pretty incredible at that time of year. Good call.
  10. 18” on Memorial Day right to the coast. I actually do wonder what an equivalent springtime analog of Oct ‘11 would look like.
  11. Still the worst subsidence hole I've ever seen in southern RI with that March '13 storm. Anyone remember if Cory was around for that? He must've gone nuclear.
  12. I blame Tonga for the weirdness. I have no scientific basis for it, but I blame it all the same...
  13. Hearing a lot of spring-like birdsong, too. Just a real anachronistic feel to things right now.
  14. I just noticed some little red buds on the maple outside my bedroom. That's insane. Something one would more typically expect in April.
  15. Damn that's super impressive in Boston. Don't think I saw anything that low while I lived there.
  16. Wind ripped a skylight off one of our buildings. You haven’t lived until you’ve crawled out on a pitched 8 story roof to retrieve a giant convex plastic kite in roaring bitter cold wind. Just glad it didn’t kill anyone; myself included.
  17. What’s all that white stuff on the ground? Did you import sand from Sarasota?
  18. So much time wasted in a classroom doing long division that could have been profitably used sledding or storming snow forts. Sad days those were.
