    Dunno about that. We've had maybe 3 canes of '38 caliber since settlement in the 1600s. I bet what you saw has a higher return period than that. Not sure what that period is, but have to think it's more common than a direct hit from a cat 3+ cane.

    Wow, Morch delivering again up there. I went for a jog a few minutes ago. Had no sign of snow at my place, but just two miles north there was a dusting.

    That is very true. We had a storm last April like that. 6 inches of fluff on the grass and roads were almost completely unaffected.
