  1. Smart guy. A lot of people would've tempted fate and likely end up a permanent fixture on the mountain.
  2. Also, I would put Killian Jornet's single day summit of Everest from base camp to summit to base camp without supplemental oxygen solidly in the pantheon of greatest athletic feats of all time. Then he did it again a week later.
  3. Jesus, what a cluster. I wonder what percentage of those people are rich neophytes getting dragged to the top by a sherpa.
  4. I'd agree with that. Maybe the first week or two of July as a secondary peak.
  5. No need. Kev's thermometer sits atop an EZ Bake oven.
  6. My god, so nude right now. Just so much COC today.
  7. Fantasy cane season has arrived!

  16. I would imagine the Tuscaloosa 2011 supercell that rode all the way in VA before dying, putting down a whole family of tornadoes in the process, might be an example of this.
  17. Full sun. Another beautiful day on tap.
  18. Yeah, Tsar Bombas along the dry line today. Gonna be wild.
  19. That's similar to my experience. Two of the loudest thunderclaps I can recall, but no other thunder to speak of.
  20. Had two of the most spectacularly loud thunderclaps in memory during the night. The odd thing was that there was no other thunder accompanying them.
  21. Several tornado warned storms between upstate NY and PA this afternoon.
  22. Great dog. Nosedive also still looks good to go.
  23. It's amazing what a difference a few hundred miles and s few thousand vertical feet will do. My front yard today:
