  1. Not all of us. I'm personally thrilled to not be sweating my baguettes off in the near future. Bring it.
  2. Maybe it's this cool shot across the bow, but just noticed I have some maples turning nicely orange and yellow at the crown. Seems really early down here.
  3. Beautiful evening. My better half says now that dews are down, it's time to enjoy some COC.
  4. Ok, but we wait for the CRAS for confirmation before we really freak out.
  5. Wait until we get a mega CME. Goodbye grid for a long long time.
  6. I didn't realize we had a cat 5 Cape Verde storm sitting off the Bahamas. Tell me more.
  7. Almost looks a little bit like a PRE next Friday on the GFS. Or maybe some kind of inv trough type rain. Interesting look at 500 mb with a disturbance coming down through the Lakes. Sort of a 50/50 low look too.
  8. Very poor dendritic growth though. Tough to accumulate.
  9. Getting a nice drink. Grass and garden still remarkably green.
  10. Could be, but I'm more familiar with them from looking at post mortem papers about storms like Hazel and '38.
  11. Until I see a strong cut-off low in the Ohio Valley, I'll sell.
  12. I had an econ professor who was a student in Berkeley in the late 60s. He would sometimes stop mid-sentence and start swaying at the lectern and ask us to bear with him because he was having a flashback.
  13. Yeah that was probably it then. Charles river was having problems with toxic algae blooms.
  14. I forget which year it was, maybe '14 or '15, but it was an exceedingly dry period in Boston. The grass was totally fried on the esplanade and the leaves started going brown and falling off the trees in July. Driving up 95 through Waltham by the Cambridge Reservoir was eye opening. Just absurdly low.
  15. The desertification of eastern NE will be a hot topic in coming years. Rolling sand dunes far as the eye can see.
  16. Oh how we pray. I would settle for another Feb '15 though.
  17. They can have all the 3-6" events they want, just give me the 24"+ events.
  18. As we giggle at their snowstorms.
  19. That'll do it. Goodnight, sweet prince.
  20. It's 7:40. How old are you? On an unrelated note, did you get your AARP mailer this week?
  21. We had like 8 degree lapse rates that day and SRH>300.
