  1. I was being facetious. I have very little faith in the GFS, given its historical performance. It also kept finding weaknesses and sending Sandy out to sea when most other guidance was locked in for days. That said, I have no expectation as far as the final outcome. A quick exit to sea is an entirely reasonable outcome.
  2. Are we sure Teddy is just a tropical cyclone?
  3. I guess for interests down here, it all comes down to how far southwest that cutoff gets. If it keeps trending as it has, things could get hairy for a lot of folks in NE.
  4. I'm not expecting anything, but I'd be worried about epic flooding in NH/VT if that actually backs off the Gulf of Maine.
  5. Some of those would give Bill a run for the money in the wave department. Road trip to Acadia.
  6. Nice 930s going up 'Gansett. That would likely dump a few feet of sand on my beach--and a few yards of seaweed.
  7. Lol that EPS run was quite the eye opener.
  8. What's Unc been doing with this? It's had a pretty good run this summer, hasn't it?
  9. Euro takes Ted into eastern Maine again. Cut off seemed more SW relative to prior runs. I would love to witness the Fundy surge if that played out
  10. The most important CRAS run of our lives coming up.
  11. Given how large a shift the GFS has had over the last several cycles, and its historical struggles in the tropics, I'm inclined to just toss its output beyond day 2 or 3.
  12. Left all the windows open last night, which was apparently enough to get my heat to kick on for the first time since probably May.
  13. Sign me up in a heartbeat.
  14. Yep, those were definitely a bright spot in a very tough stretch.
  15. My great grandfather's big brother was a boy scout when the pandemic hit. Unbeknownst to his parents, he sneaked into downtown Richmond with his friends to volunteer carrying the sick to the hospital. Sadly, he quickly caught the flu himself and perished at just fifteen. But yes, bodies everywhere.
