  2. I loathe these types of coastal transfers because of this exact kind of map. That's honestly the most logical looking output I've seen.
  3. I feel like this forum was the most active I've ever seen it in summer this past year. It was still pretty dead relative to winter, but BW and I were on quite a bit.
  4. Oh no, Georgian Bay Band is conking out fast. Looks like some swaths of dry air are starting to move in. Ontario will have to do all the work itself soon. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=local-LakeOntario-13-48-1-100
  5. Alright, just measured. From about 6:20 until 9:15 we got 2 more inches! Snow on the ground now at 8" Thats respectable
  6. Just tapered off but we probably got another inch or two since 6pm. Maybe I should go measure now before it compacts. It’s cccccold though.
  7. That’s a lot more misses than hits IMO. That doesn’t bode well at all for us.
  8. North Tonawanda is getting whacked right now! Don’t we have a poster from there? It’s my old home town so I always keep an eye on it.
  9. It has really has come down hard the last couple of hours! Looks like the show is just about over as the band reorients further west....
  10. I cleared the board at 7pm last night and then 6pm tonight. Looks like about and inch and half. If I measured correctly (in this kind of fluff scenario) it would probably be almost double. So I’m probably over 3” now. Screw the numbers though, today has been one of the wintriest days in a long time. Temps in the teens and snow for almost 12 hours straight now. Still coming down nicely. A perfect day.
  11. You know, that shit radar I just posted does seem to show the band dying in Wayne county, so perhaps it offers a little something.
  12. If only the radar at SUNY Brockport actually had someone to run and calibrate it. Here it is running, and it obviously doesnt help much at all, lol. https://www.whec.com/doppler/ Way back when I went to school there, no one knew how to configure it or run it then either. I know a lot more about electronics and programming these days. I wish I could back in there and tinker with it, perhaps I could breathe some life into it.
  13. Thanks!, its been like pulling teeth this winter. With these couple new inches today I just finally crossed over 26" on the season. Long way to go to end up with any sort of respectable number. About 6 weeks of winter left....
  14. It's been snowing non stop since about 8am at very differing intensities. It's really coming down right now. That said, we might have 2-3 inches of fluff on the high end. Still, I will take this all day!!
  15. I’m pretty sure that’s a meso low dropping through Niagara county.
  16. The best snow in the last few days has fallen in the last couple hours. Maybe about an inch now IMBY. Just when I figured things would be ending is when they start. The bizzaro winter continues..
  17. Completely skunked here too. It was never a great setup but I wanted to stay hopeful and not be a curmudgeon for the board. On to the next event we go....
  18. Normally Its just that little bit extra fetch, and better convergence in the corner of the lake. That whole shape is so much better than the orientation of the Southern Shoreline with our negative slope East of the Genny. In tonight's scenario, they also benefit from a touch more synoptic moisture, being closer to the core of the coldest 850's and potentially closer to some of the DPVA with the upper low.
  19. I’d do anything to be chasing this band all night. That thing is fierce and probably very windy too. Blizzard conditions.
  20. The king city radar is stuck in a weird mode. It’s been that way for a long time, super annoying. But you can see enough to know that we lost the GB connection in Monroe county. It’s pretty critical in dry scenarios like this.
  21. For the record I had just a touch over 1" on the board this morning. I didnt dust it off until after work and it was honestly just a thin coating by then, nearly immeasurable on the yard stick. 95% air.
  22. We are squabbling over 2-3" of 40:1 snow. Oh how far we've fallen, hahaha. Have some self respect you guys.
  23. This storm is starting to look very similar to the Super Synoptic event from 12/16 and we know how that played out for us WNYers. That said, that storm was truly epic so someone should be ready to get clobbered...perhaps our downstate posters??
