    I knew it was coming. Lol! Couldn't have anything to do with the temperature? A couple days ago, the sun was out. Nothing melted? Sun angle didn't change much in a few days.

    Light freezing drizzle. 28° Driveway, steps etc are sheet of ice. Treated roads are still ok. This does not bode well here.

    Very true. Only a fool would route for an ice storm. Most likely someone who's never actually been through a real one.

    With deep snow pack, I would be skeptical if temps get that high at the surface. It's quite possible, but I doubt it. If it does? It will be very brief.

    Warm up and rain is fine. You only get ice damning when temps are below freezing, and either sun or heat loss from your house melts snow on your roof and then freezes over your eves. Ice and snow shield under your shingles is very important to prevent water entering house. Minimum 3 feet up from gutters towards ridge. I have 6 feet.
