  1. 3.1" overnight, was snowing nicely this morning, but shut down quickly around 8am. See what happens later today and over the weekend.
  2. Got 4.5" yesterday into the night and 7.6" overnight thru very late this morning - a total of 12.1" in about 24 hours from this clipper / lake enhanced / lake effect snow combo. Very pleasantly surprised. Have about 18 or 19" on the ground. From CLE Watch, seems MBY will get substantially more from this little hybrid system than the upcoming storm. We shall see. Hope you all get appreciable amounts!
  3. Thanks. Got about 5" snow from 8 to 12ish this morning. That followed the 4.2" from last night. Pretty nice week IMBY. From a high of 55 degrees on Sunday and bare ground, have had 27.6" of snow since Sunday night. About 14" on ground now. That is what I thought about winds as well. I don't think a flake is flying in Erie county as of now, We'll see if anything pushes onshore/anywhere inland - not holding my breath for anything more here.
  4. Is there any indication of the winds turning more westerly tonight? If not, I'm not sure even the north / north-eastern part of Erie County is going to get much more additional snow. We got jack-hammered IMBY this morning thru about lunch, then the band quickly lifted north up thru the county and is now pretty much over the lake - can see local radar here: http://www.yourerie.com/weather/pinpoint-doppler If there is no westerly turn, then I think Erie County, PA is pretty much clear of any more snow. Also curious with the upgrade of Ashtabula County into a LES warning.
  5. Wife said only 4" since this morning. Little surprised given the webcam at university, but said flakes have been small. She took pictures, will post later. Band has gotten more narrow and drifted just to the west of MBY. Do you guys think they should be able to target specific areas of counties with LES Warnings (rather than county-wide) like they do with Tstorms/Tornado/spec weather statements given the highly localized nature of these snows? Or is that not viable option given transient nature and length of duration?
  6. Getting hit well via checking local webcam and local radar. Very narrow band, so most of Erie County is snow free. Sun showing where I'm at now I-90 at Peach St/ Rt 19 exit.
  7. Bit surprised and disappointed, only another .6" fell as band quickly fell apart after 4am, so 6.6" overnight. Now have received 13.4" since Sunday night. We shall see what today brings, really not feeling it with the partly cloudy skies out there. Wonder if this will verify, seems a tad robust:
  8. Dumping pretty well out there at the moment and has for several hours. Measured 6" exactly thus far. Keep on bringing it!
  9. Great write up OHweather! Just love coming here to get your and others input/analysis/info. After the worst Dec ever IMBY (9.6" of snow "beating" the 9.8" snow in Dec '11), I am selfishly hoping your 1-2 feet in a good chunk of Erie County comes to pass. We received 6.6" of snow from Sunday night into Monday evening - have had light pixie dust since including now. Hope much more is to come for everyone!
