  1. Pushing an inch and coming down pretty good.
  2. Up in pittsburg, flipped to snow at the cabin at 1700' . 33F
  3. Heading up to Pittsburg this week with the dog. Hearing theres a ton of birds up there this year
  4. One of my favorite stretches here. A damaging 15" event immediately followed by close to 2' of pure fluff. That second storm was the highest ratio large event I've seen.
  5. Massabesic, ASH and Hampstead coops are all 24-26". Hudson is 29". Airport seems low, but its still well below normal elsewhere
  6. Mos is 30 again tonight. Not sure what tomorrow record is
  7. This is from an old Randolph site, 68" on 8" of qpf, mostly over 5 days
  8. The combo of upslope and synoptic will make Randolph tough to beat
  9. I did a quick look at a few of the closest SE NH coop sites to me, including MHT. They range from 4" to 7.5" above 2016 year to date. Its certaintly been dry, but atleast locally 2016 was drier
  10. 38F, wind never calmed off here by the lake.
  11. Im staying on the First CT Lake, even if we stay clear and decouple I bet we fog in near the water before a frost, but we'll see. MAV/MET are both 37 for BML
  12. Chilly day up in Pittsburg. Mix of sun and clouds, but only 54-55F on the truck thermo this afternoon. Feels like October.
  13. I've fished it 3 or 4 times this year and the warmest may have have been late June. It got off to a crazy warm start this year...Main lake was low-mid 70s last weekend, probably still 80 in some of the coves
  14. I'm up in Pittsburg for the week, clouds with off and on showers the past 2 days. I don't think it's gotten much above 70, mid-60s and showers now. Looks pretty chilly the next couple days, but I'll take that over rain on vacation.
  15. When I lived in N Londonderry I'd go over the the airport. The road that goes along the southside has some great views. There would always be weenies pulled off when storms where moving in
  16. The status of the Balsoms project doesn't seem very encouraging. I talked with someone who went inside the old hotel not too long ago and they said its in really bad shape. I'm not sure if renovating it was part of the plan or they were gonna tear it down.
  17. I can't remember if it was last July or 2018, but I was up in Pittsburg and drove down to fish Umbagog one morning. There was patchy frost outside of Errol
  18. Those local difference really show up on the winter with a good snowpack. I've seen the First Lake coop run 10-15+ lower than johnsnhweather. Hes less than a mile away and about 150' higher. Looks like his house is for sale too, which is too bad. Quite the weenie spot and a nice house.
  19. The pictures ive seen in my area from the early 1900s look like the midwest. Pretty wild to think alot the stone walls we have scattered about were once hedgerows for fields
  20. Yeah it definitely is more effective for snow/ice, with the amount of trees in NE wind is always gonna be a big issue
  21. Virtually all of the trimming I see eversource doing around here seems to be on whatever side the powerlines are on
  22. Still a little weird. I get better winds in my sheltered yard than the airport does on southerly winds at times. I just had some of the biggest gusts of the day in the past hour, MHT popped a 43kt
  23. That's wild. Wouldnt be keeping the boat in with that southerly fetch. Even the small lake near me a pontoon broke lose from a mooring with a 1/2 mile fetch.
  24. Seems like SE winds are the worst for that siting. Always lower than MHT. My Davis at like 10ft off the ground surrounded by trees managed 25mph.
  25. 38kt at mht and afn. Ramping up a bit. Ash remains a pit on se winds.
