During my hs years there was a year where the clocks remained on Daylight Savings Time...it was awful. Kids falling asleep in class. Stayed mostly dark till late morning on stormy days.....kids waiting at the bus stops in complete darkness..at the far western end of the eastern time zone it will be worse with sunrise not occurring till 9AM ish.. Another brilliant decision by the band of idiots who have damaged the country

Getting tested takes a short amount of time. Around the 4th of July 2025 I was bitten by "something" on the back of my right leg. By pure chance I touched the back of my leg and it felt sore...I had my wife take a look and she told me there was about a 3 inch area of redness. I knew instantly it was cellulitis. I went to a walk in center and I was on antibiotics within 2 hours. I did ask the doctor on the 1-10 scale what was the level of the cellulitis and she said it was a 3...then she added that cellulitis can quickly progress and it is good you came in.. Do yourself a favor...get seen today ASAP by a medical professional..early treatment is always the best treatment..

If my memory is serving me well the missing episode is the Nostradamus episode....about his various predictions for how the world ends There was a show titled Doomsday Preppers but while that had some end of the world scenarios it primarily was about how people were preparing for catastrophic events. Another interesting show is "While the Rest of US Die"

100% agree...I think the unraveling will begin within 48 hours. Once the shock wears off and people begin to realize how bad the situation is.....many people couldn't handle the covid lock downs. The aftermath of a direct hit from a strong hurricane will make the Covid lock downs seem like a trip to Disney World.

I know several families who moved back to New England after experiencing a hurricane while living in Florida.. People in New England are ill prepared for a direct hit from a strong hurricane. They talk tough but that toughness would vanish once they realize that an Oct snowstorm is a flurry when compared to a direct hit from a major hurricane

Falls under the heading of people being careful what they wish for. The impacts will be far greater and far more long lasting than they think it will be. Why anyone wants the devastation of a redux of 1938 is beyond me. All I can say is some of them folk better have a plan in place to protect themselves, their families and their belongings..the hassle of finding people to repair the damage is going to pale in comparison to the protection aspect of the recovery....
