  1. Yeah. Just read that. I have been completely out of the loop lately. No forecasts, no maps, not much of any weather interactions for a while. Have fun in Maine!
  2. oh. lol. I haven't looked at maps, or anything. Not much on line activity for me lately, not even any tv news about this storm, so I really don't know much about it.
  3. Nada here. lol @ Dc with the accums, but nothing here where I am in CT.
  4. Snowing for 2+ hours here at the lake in Dayville, CT. Not really sticking though. Too wet and warm on the ground. I'm sure a nice event for others but not expecting much here. Have not been home, down the road to Brooklyn though.
  5. I miss the days of the bans. They were hot and heavy for a while back around 2011 and 2012 if I recall. Some good battles back then.
  6. Do it again, and you will get a 30 day ban. Bob is getting restless.
  7. Just let me know when I can drag up my snowblower death post. I think after I originally posted that we were hammered pretty good.
  8. I am still bitter from the year where you stole our snow. (2011/12?). A year that will live in infamy. Never forgive, never forget.
  9. Yeah. I see zero people in here denying it. Why would there be denial in a forum filled with science educated folks. lol.
  10. He will follow Marty Walsh's lead and help run the State of Massachusetts to the ground. (Cue The Dropkick Murphy's, "State of Massachusetts" )
  11. This makes sense just by the nature of how people react and socialize at certain gatherings. Most people at restaurants sit down, eat their food across from each other, and move on fairly quickly with very little contact beyond their utensils, and food, and the conversation at their booth. Parties at halls, or other home gatherings are a much different scene ...People standing around a keg, or table of food, close to others, talking for long periods of time. I have been back at my gym since it re-opened. I speak to the managers there every so often to get a sense of how the virus may be affecting the gym and patrons. I have been told that zero cases have been traced back to the gym. That in itself does not mean much, but is interesting just the same.
  12. I will be getting a Vid test Friday at 3:30 in advance of my surgery for next Tuesday (C.U.Next.Tuesday). Once I get the test I pretty much have to slink into the basement for the next 3 days, then be rolled out of the house in a bubble...placed in a hermetically sealed armored truck and transported to the hospital Tuesday morning.
  13. Pathetic indeed. Most neighbors won't be on board with this, but some will.
  14. Well, if you live in Boston and next week decide to have Thanksgiving with more than the legal amount of people, the police may be called to your residence. Nothing like clogging up the 911 infrastructure to report on too many people dipping into the gravy. ...This will easily bleed into Christmas and New Year's as well, where I think lockdowns will ultimately be in place by then in some regions. Good ole' Marty Walsh:
  15. I agree. mid to Late 2021 was always looked at as a long shot. Edit: I am talking total normalcy. We may have concerts and events, but mask wearing will be commonplace next year.
  16. That Thanksgiving bit was the most unfunny thing I think I've heard in a while.
  17. My daughter's college campus in Rhode Island is hard core with the mask wearing. I went down there last week to take her to lunch and every kid walking around outside had masks on. EVERY ONE OF THEM. The covid cases are some of the lowest when it comes to college campuses (There was a parent briefing back in the late summer discussing the measures that the school was going to go through to deal with the virus, and it was pretty extensive and thorough). When the cases come along they are dealt with swiftly. I am not sure what that mean by "swiftly), but you don't hear about them again after a few days. (It is Rhode Island so maybe there's a mafia thing going on. )
  18. Whatever was in that tweet was so horrible it was removed.
  19. lol. Stick around my friend. You ain't seen nothing yet, especially if futility comes to fruition over the following weeks and beyond.
